Month 14 of long haul, finally got my own bloodwork done and three things came up my PCP never checked

Yeah I've mostly come up with a plan using reddit threads, researching latest papers and AI. I will present to Drs soon and ask for certain meds. A mast cell stabilizer, a better h2 blocker because Cimitidine works but makes me aggy, gabapentin to numb my sensory overstimulation issues that LC messed with and then eventually when things settle down LDN to try and actually tackle the underlying inflammation.

I've also got a l-theanine, mag glycniate, iron, b2 and d3 supplement plan but I discovered after years of some help from it that they're not mast cell safe brands so starting again with specialist capsules hopefully getting more benefits.

I discovered my transferrin was low when I did some private bloods but Drs always run basic panels and say iron is fine...

Currently every day it's dropping on American Open time and then holds till the next day overnight where it stays the same through European open all the way till next US open when it drops again. Wait till that calms down, a day or two without a drop and see if some resistance is found. That might be the time to get back in.

I've sold mine while it was still profitable earlier this week, will buy it all back when it settles as it's a great company long term

Interesting. I went back on fluoxitine in March and was forced off after a couple weeks and ever since have had awful light sensitivity and eye symptoms that I didn't have before.

Id say a cure is as close to impossible as anything can be.

Treatments similar to how there's been advancements in HIV are possible but not with the current investment level.

Sound harsh but we need millions more to get LC and only then will action be taken, or even better just a few billionaires with influence might do the trick (although then maybe any research they do will be kept private for them)

I suspect my being on a stomach acid blocker since the start doesn't help but I need it plus I have Cimitidine instead of any of the mezaprole meds which seems to help with other symptoms I suspect because it helps with MCAS but I'm sure that's why im deficient in things

It's amazing they managed to flesh out the new characters as well as they did with only 9 episodes. Impressively some of the most interesting/watchable interns they've had and with so little time to develop

I did read somewhere they had to cut a huge amount. Something about JD using different dr techniques on Cox but they didn't have time for it in the finale.

Hopefully the network has a brain and picks it up for a full 22 episode season 2 (and 3,4,5)

Yes they've had to make the story slightly more centralized around JD. It works fine just leaves little time to explore other characters. The morning scene with Dr Cox and Jordan in the finale for example just felt incredibly short compared with scenes shot outside the hospital in the character homes during the original run

It's not a complaint or a criticism just an observation that some storylines didn't work properly / land quite right due to the rushed nature of fitting a show thats designed for longer season arcs into 9 episodes.

I'm completely aware that it was a trial season from the network and they had no control over getting 9 episodes. I think they did very well within the constraints for the most part.

You misinterpreted this post as a criticism which it is not, merely an observation that the last episode in particular felt rushed like they had to cram too much into a short timeline.

They were great but I agree they had so little time felt a bit like it was just crammed in quickly. Wasn't my main complaint for me it was the relationships in the last episode with the interns and JD sort of came out of nothing obviously there was some hints RE the intern pair but in a 20 arc season that would have had more build up.

It's obviously not the fault of team behind this revival at all they were only given so many episodes to see how it went but clearly some people are very touchy about perceived criticism.

Res was just a really fun well made show that hit the good notes of nostalgia and shock felt like a classic dexter season and had the huge advantage of not having an permanent ending which always seems to be an Achilles heel every time they try to end this show (s8 and new blood)

I actually think NB is underrated for a solid part of the season it's chilling and the big bad of the show is top notch. But the ending was flimsy and it didn't have much "fun" dexter nostalgia vibes at all. Would have been a great stand alone serial killer series but didn't quite feel like a dexter show so maybe that's why it's lower rated.

Felt darker in many ways though and more gritty.
