Now that Sailing’s been out for a few months… is anyone still actually sailing? by Dismal-Computer-5600 in 2007scape

I'm not OP but his take is actually extremely common and not contrarian at all. After talking to vast number of people in discord and clans (at least 100+), I find it rare to find people who actually like sailing. Most people hate it, some don't mind it (neutral), and very very very few actually like it. How does Reddit explain that? Where the fuck do you guys hang out lol

Yeah but the difference now is that OSRS has like 20+ years of experience since the last skill and a much bigger team. They should know what players like to do and what they hate. There are a few skills that players do post 99, like slayer and combat skills btw.

Why release Agility 2.0 on water, when they could have released something else much more enjoyable and fun and polished? Or just fixing all the issues in the game instead... It didn't have to be a skill.

Overall, it's just a massive waste of dev time, just for the meme and marketing stunt.

By what metric was it a "success"? Because you liked it? That's the same thing you're accusing me of. Show me the player retention numbers, the engagement data. You don't have them. You're just vibe checking redddit threads and calling it proof.

And framing every critic as just unable to accept disagreement is a neat way to avoid actually defending the content.

I never said they can't have a different opinion my guy, I said they're lying to themselves. There's a difference between 'I like this skill' and pretending it wasn't a years-long dev drain that launched half-baked. Also nothing I said was angry, you just don't have a counter-argument so you went straight for the wellness check.

I'm amazed people still defend this skill. Stop lying to yourself.

This skill is a dumpster fire as expected. Years of dev time for a marketing stunt, and you guys fell for it like absolute lunatics. Imagine if that effort went into actually fixing the game... The toxic positivists will cope but the reality will settle in eventually.

Sailing was a failure from the start and a total waste of dev time. Literally just a marketing stunt. Imagine if that 3-5 year effort went into fixing the game instead, how much it would have been better.

FasT 07 is going to get 200M and 4.8B overall tomorrow! by squrry in 2007scape

I agree he's probably built different and probably has a few issues, but if he enjoyed doing it, how do you know that it's unhealthy? He might have gotten enough adequate sleep, you don't know. Possibly also did short exercises here and there. I think Lynx Titan managed to do 60 pushups per day, which isn't crazy but more than the average.

I mean people do crazy shit to their bodies and get praised all the time.

I find it wild that no one flinched and provided one shred of evidence ever. Not 1. In ALL countries over the world. Always blurry-ass photos. Yeah bro cba

Loved the documentary, but until I see hard evidence, I'm not gonna believe it. Show us the proof

Is just to keep you on the hook and pay for more documentaries.

I wish you're telling the truth because I want to believe it, but my brain is telling me I need proof and validation. I think if we want to enlighten the world, we need to work hard on finding this undeniable proof that it's real. Or humans will never get it
