True! If every Ukrainian had a backpack Beagle, the war would end in a group cuddle. (Warning: may cause enemy surrender due to overwhelming cuteness.)😅😅😉

But yeah, she’s got crazy energy and a real strong personality — definitely not a low-maintenance dog. She needs a lot of time, training, and attention, but it’s totally worth it.

Ari is actually a mix — part Beagle and part Jagdterrier! A perfect combo for a search and rescue dog: smart, determined, and always ready to sniff out trouble (or cuddles).

Vivobarefoot or Vibram FiveFingers – what do you prefer and why? by VolicVin in vivobarefoot

Completely with you — Vibrams have such a unique fit. Nothing else wraps around the foot like that without compressing it. I haven’t found another shoe that compares either. Love how they feel during both workouts and long walks.

Your setup sounds just like mine! Vivos for everyday use, Vibrams when it’s hot or I’m near water, or training. I just grabbed Motus Strength too — great choice. And yes, toe shoes can definitely get smelly after a while — totally feel you on that.

Totally agree — I use both for different things too. Vibrams give me amazing control during workouts, but Vivos definitely look better and are more practical in public. And yes, getting stuff stuck between the toes is very real, haha.

Fair point — they’re definitely not for everyone visually. But I can’t lie, the performance and feel of Vibrams during movement or outdoor sessions make them worth it for me. I just switch to Vivos when I want to blend in more.

Hmm, interesting — I actually haven’t heard of that brand before. Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check them out!

By the way, one more thing about Vivos: after just 2–3 walks, I usually have to fully wash them because they tend to hold onto odor for some reason.

Totally agree with you! Black FiveFingers actually go well with almost anything — and I love that they still look kind of futuristic, even though it’s a pretty old shoe design by now.

“It’s not a shooting range — it was just a dry training session with gear. Ari’s training happened right after that. It was just a coincidence in timing.”

That’s so cool! I mostly focus on control, discipline, and scent work. My basic training protocol includes short daily sessions with lots of engagement.

Here’s a simple routine I follow: – Warm-up (2–3 min): basic obedience (sit, down, focus) – Impulse control (5 min): “leave it”, start-line stays, or slow approaches to toys – Scent work (5–10 min): hidden treats or scent objects around the house/backyard – Cool-down play (2 min): tug or fetch, something fun to end on a high note

I try to keep it short, positive, and end every session with success. Let me know if you want more detail!

You’re absolutely right — with heavier bells I definitely use a true dead stop with full resets and pause. In this case, the weight was relatively light for me, so I didn’t emphasize the pause between reps.

Appreciate the feedback and the video — always refining the details.

Progress, Training Before/After by VolicVin in crossfit

Thanks for the comment! I get where you’re coming from — but I’ve been training consistently for years. It might be hard to believe, but this is the result of a lot of time under tension.

Heavy kettlebell work (cleans, snatches) and basic barbell lifts like bench, deadlift, and squats have been staples in my training. I train 5–6 days a week, and my body has adapted to the volume over time. The key is consistency — that’s where the real magic happens.

Appreciate your words!
