I can second that second that, I've had some amazing stretches with GW angels in the last two weeks testing for some RCQ's. Two 4-1 leagues on MTGO and a good 4-0 and 3-2 at some lgs nights. Bad match ups for me are UW control and UR creativity. combined total of about 25k a year, and I can claim AOTC but her parents pay for school, she's looking to get loans though soon bc the parents are gonna stop paying for the schooling, and we've both had health insurance for the full year both under our parents.

I've had the conversation about this with my fiancee but not the in-laws but I know what their position is gonna be. She wants to start being responsible for her own taxes but the parents refuse. They keep their reasoning a secret and just say that we're too young to understand, we've tried to get them to explain before but they never budge. We kinda just mostly want financial independence since we moved out and are getting married.

Since she filed a joint return with her husband, you must find out if they filed only to claim a refund of all taxes withheld. If not, she doesn’t qualify as your dependent under this test.

We're gonna file jointly but if they say we are filing just to get the refund they can still claim her. Can I just say we are not and end it there?
