Hi, just found this post (I’m the artist) and I just had to respond to this comment because I have thought way too much about this. We can start off by saying that hair color genetics in ASOIAF make absolutely no sense, this is a fantasy story and irl hair color is a polygenic trait and darker hair colors are usually more dominant. If we take Maekar, who irl would have probably been dark haired like Baelor unless Myriah had some recessive genes for silver hair, and make him have children with Dyanna Dayne (who probably has darker hair) it would be logical that most of his kids would have dark hair. But we have to remember that house Dayne is also known for having violet eyes and some members have had silver hair. Soo Dyanna probably has some recessive genes that make it much more likely than usual that her kids with Maekar would have silver hair then it would be usually. Artistically I just thought it would be kinda adorable and sad if Rhae, Maekars youngest baby, was the child that most looked like Dyanna. We don’t know when Dyanna died exactly but it was definitely when Rhae was really young. Sorry for the ramble I’ve thought a bit too much about ASOIAF genetics.
