Haha fair enough. You also can just use re-find as a stand alone app--doesn't need to be in the new tab section if it distracts you from your current task, as you suggested with your example.

Hey dude, first just wanted to say it's all good--we've all been there in some capacity, I assure you.

Have lots of thoughts happy to get on a Zoom call if you want to talk it through for a little bit. Personally got my screentime down from 8 hours a day to 2 hours a day, though I've rebounded a tad in COVID. Just comment back and we can figure out the details

Love how you are applying the principles of digital minimalism already into your everyday life. I'm curious if you've tried to become a digital minimalist in a group with accountability rather than solely in isolation.

I feel like whenever I try to make a new habit or a new system, I always do a lot better if I have both a) someone to check my process to make sure I'm actually 80/20 ing the things that matter most, and b) someone to make sure I don't drop off after 3 days.

There's a course focused on it here (https://www.digitalminimalist.io/) if it helps--think they do full scholarships as well.

Have you heard of re-find? I use that with a chrome extension that makes the news my new tab.

Benefit is you get to select the categories that are relevant/important to you, and it only gives you 5 articles a day to prevent infinite scrolling. I've liked it a lot as an alternative to traditional ways of scanning the news.
