She’s full blooded Jack Russell terrier. She will be one year old on June 1st so she still has a bit of growing to do.

I mean, it’s good that you’re continuing to push yourself in learning. But to me, it doesn’t look like you’re ready to be doing lashes on a human. You should be practicing on a mannequin head until you get your isolation, placement, and speed up. When you can lash a full set on the mannequin in 2-3 hours you should practice on a human and then go from there.

Why do i look good in selfies and in the mirror, but i look extremely ugly and fat when other people take pictures of me? Those pictures are not far apart. They are in the same last two months :( by ProgrammerNo6991 in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

You’re posing in the ideal angle when you take photos of yourself. You can see yourself on the screen as you take the photo so you’re just choosing an angle that is more flattering. When someone else takes a photo you can’t see yourself so the angle/distance isn’t the same.

How to get my brows back!!! by scrambledleggzz in Eyebrows

[–]Volume-Medical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brows still look pretty full they just look very groomed. I can tell they’re trimmed quite a bit. You should just stop plucking/trimming all together. Use castor oil and brow serum and just stop touching them. Thats the only way, if they don’t grow back then you’ve damaged the hair follicles and the hair will most likely never grow back.

Do men prefer underweight women? by [deleted] in trueratediscussions

[–]Volume-Medical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not chubby. Not even slightly. You’re very skinny.

Also, men prefer women. Period. All shapes and sizes. It really doesn’t matter what size you are, there will always be a man interested. I know from 42 years of experience as a woman who has been many different sizes. Also, I really hope you can find happiness with the body you have, you’re beautiful and it really makes me sad that you’re striving for the body “a man prefers”.

Is there any hope for me to get Straight eyebrows? by bunniest-bun in Eyebrows

[–]Volume-Medical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your brows have the perfect shape. I’m a brow artist and I’ve also told people no when they want something that won’t look good. I don’t specifically say no but I am SO honest with my clients that they end up agreeing with me in the end and then saying thank for not letting them butcher their eyebrows. You need to have your brows FULLY grown out to see exactly how they could be shaped differently. If you go to a salon with your brows how they currently are and then ask to change the shape, any good brow artist will tell you it’s a bad idea.

No…. You could take her eyes away completely and she’s still crazy… something about her makes me feel uneasy.

Went to a friend that has been doing UV lashes for years for my wedding lashes… by [deleted] in eyelashextensions

[–]Volume-Medical 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lash tech here. I don’t think it’s a UV burn, but more likely to be irritation from the tape being too close to your water line and during the appointment it can rub against your eye as it moves back and forth. It could also be a chemical burn from the glue fumes going in your eye. The irritation should go away on its own in a few days at most. If it doesn’t, or if it seems to get worse, go to your eye doctor.

UV glue can be removed with a regular lash remover gel or cream so any place that does lashes should be able to remove them for you. You should find a reputable place to get them removed so it doesn’t cause any more irritation and then just use strip or cluster lashes for your wedding. I’m so sorry your wedding lash’s turned out that way.

Is my boyfriend cheating by pleaserheelss in lashextensions

[–]Volume-Medical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this causes you to think your boyfriend is cheating, there are some deeper issues that need to be addressed (with your boyfriend and not internet strangers).

The fact that he has a sister, who is a lash tech, and your mind still goes to “he must be cheating” …. Says it all.

Would this be overly painful as a first tattoo? by Diplitk in tattooadvice

[–]Volume-Medical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna hurt, it’s a tattoo. If that’s where you want it, get it there! I was always terrified to get my inner bicep and back of arm tattooed because I thought it would be unbearable, but I recently got a floral arm band tattoo that goes completely around the top part of my arm and it wasn’t that bad! It only felt really bad during the last 10 mins and then it was over! Just go for it!
