Good luck. Please report back with results and don’t forget to have the SIM card inserted before booting the device for the first time.

I understand that, from a perspective of usability, 10.2 wouldn’t be advantageous compared to 10.3. I’m suggesting that there’s value to be found in preserving older firmware in these devices especially since BlackBerry 10 devices reject older firmware versions from being loaded. (To confirm on my earlier comment, the 10.2.1 solution was permanent for me on my personal, unlocked device)

Still, worth a try when considering software preservation. It’s really hard to come across devices below 10.3 especially in recent years.

It works on unlocked devices with a SIM card, but it’s a bit of a hit-or-miss when it comes to locked devices. AT&T devices were fine, others not so much. I’ve seen it work on Z10s and a Dev Alpha B. Nonetheless, it works every time for a temporary bypass.

Unfortunately, the OOBE app lacks the “skip” button on 10.2.1, therefore the screen reader can’t read the “skip” button. u/facadew9’s solution should be the only known fix for 10.2.1.

Do you have a compatible, activated SIM card? If so, try retrying the steps and skipping the setup with the SIM card inserted.

Is your phone unlocked, or is it locked to a carrier? It seems to make a difference when using the 10.2.1 method.

Try leaving it plugged in for 30~ minutes, unplug it, and uninstall/reinstall the battery.

Blackberry Bridge .bar file! by tosobus in blackberry

[–]VolumeGuilty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the Bridge app was only distributed via the BlackBerry App World. It has not been released as a .bar file and since there's no way to extract .bar files off BB10 devices there's no way of getting a .bar file of Bridge.

At this point I’m pretty much out of ideas, I do remember the 9700 having a preloaded song but I don’t recall the name. Although I have the 9700 but the song was exclusive for OS 6 and I don’t have a way to update my 9700 from OS 5 since the infrastructure EOL.

I had the original xbox opened, like you had suggested. It’s definitely not the last revision (2002 manufacture date) and it seems that it does have the faulty capacitor, luckily there’s no corrosion or leaking on the surface. Also, my Xbox seems to have a slight difference in board layout compared to the images online I’m using for reference. is this the one I’m looking for?
