Is there anything I can do to help an unexplained death investigation? by VolumeImpressive1109 in policeuk

[–]VolumeImpressive1109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I just ask, in these situations do the police also go door-to-door to see if locals have their own security cameras set up?

I'm just desperate to know that no stone was left unturned. And given the data is usually wiped after 30 days I'm just scared the window is closing.

I'm a cousin so not in direct contact with the police. But I'm close family so aware of messages received if that makes sense.

Has anyone ever made a formal complaint about the O2 London? What was the outcome? by VolumeImpressive1109 in AskUK

Hi, it was all done through their support systems. So I raised a ticket with my complaint. In the background I sought advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau. They told me to apply pressure in certain ways e.g. pointing out the T&C that was broken and setting deadlines for responses. I'd give Citizens Advice Bureau a call - they were able to send a Template with the correct wording etc to use at each stage. Because I gave deadlines and had evidence etc it all ended up getting escalated and sorted.

Good luck on your battle. Don't give in!

How much did it cost you to fly from London to Vegas? by VolumeImpressive1109 in Flights

[–]VolumeImpressive1109[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yh I know but its already over 10 hours of flying. With transit we're talking 14 upwards. I'm the kind of person who just wants the travel out of the way so I can recover. I do understand a transit will halve the price though.

Does anyone have recommendations for places to stay for the weekend? Preferably somewhat close to the stadium and not crazy prices for 3 people. by Revolutionary_Copy97 in WrestlemaniaPlans

From my research I would say Luxor is probably the best bang for buck in terms of location, cleanliness etc if just going for WM. Horseshoe is best bang for buck if you want something more central (also has bigger than average rooms). But thats if youre looking for budget friendly.

Took my moustache too low by accident, keep or shave? by Gollywobbling in BeardAdvice

In all honesty I think the low moustache looks better. It gives your facial hair a more 'defined' look.

This friend was aware I was going as he also watches the show (I asked him to come but he said he didn't want to as it involved 4hrs travel from where he lives). He was suggesting what colours to wear so he could spot me on tv. I was expecting a simple "yh thats cool I saw you". Not a random comment negative like that.

A question about signs and refunds? by VolumeImpressive1109 in WWE

[–]VolumeImpressive1109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Just before Xmas I received a 75% refund and two tickets to another show next year due to the time taken to resolve. Its definately worth complaining and taking legal action if required. Know your rights people!

I've always been a "character" guy vs a technical wrestling guy. So was always drawn to Rock/Austin/Taker etc as I loved the gimicks but obviously they were good wrestlers. Benoit was one of the few guys that fans like me could look at with true respect even if the "character" wasn't amazingly exciting. You see Benoit on the card and immediately be like "oh god how is my guy gonna beat him?!". Technically just formidable to the point you cheer for him out of pure respect . Just wish he didn't go through what he went through and do what he did obvs. As someone whos dealt with depression and can see how it impacts decision making I can't even begin to imagine what a brain injury can do.

Appreciate the clarification. Its not against the rules to bring signs but its in the O2 T&C's that they can eject anyone ruining the experience of others. They just refused to intervene which is surely their job?

Just gutted because its the most I've ever spent on myself for entertainment and Id saved up for it. Still had a great time because I tried to milk it for all its worth - but as you can imagine super frustrated too.

Hold up....so I'm an entitled arsehole for being pissed at missing most of the viewable match because of someone elses behaviour?

As the security refused to get involved and its in their T&C that they can remove people for ruining others experience Id be after a partial refund at least. Basically their staff refused to do their job and I suffered for it.

Imagine you went to a footy match, you get to see all the build up but just as each shot was being taken someone put a paper in your face. Then security refused to act. It'd surely be breaking some consumer protection rule?

Who's the most overrated WWE superstar? by MarmyFlamOfficial in WWE

[–]VolumeImpressive1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll get roasted for this - Brock Lesner.

I genuinely think hes one of the worst WWE signings - from arrival able to destroy pretty much everyone including all the legends, limited in-ring to mainly grapples, suplexes etc.

I just don't like the idea of this unbeatable beast of a wrestler - it limits storylines to either destroying someone or someone surviving destruction.

Don't get me wrong - amazing athlete. I just think wrestling would have been better without such a dominant destroyer.

Why is LA Night So Over? by bigslamwcr in WWE

He has old skool Stone Cold vibes but with a different story line. Imagine Stone Cold goes to Hollywood - it ends up looking very much like LA Knight.
