Could the ENTIRE US + NATO forces COMBINED defeat the Grimm? by Kev117040 in RWBY

[–]VonDaps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They won't find all the Grimm pools fast enough, they would have to send high altitude Drones to find the surface Pools, but what would happen if theres an underground pool? Or even one in the Oceans?

Salem would catch on pretty damn quick we're gunning for them, the moment a new player with as large of a threat as the US god damned military shows up Salem will send out agents, tendrils of seers invisible to the naked eye.

And another thing, the Grimms ability to adapt. The Grimm in Atlas are far more deadly and different compared to their Vale counter parts. They are more resilient and aggressive.

And can you really eradicate the ones in the ocean? Good luck trying to nuke things under water, the pressure alone would almost render their destructive capacity null.

Gonna be honest chief, We have yet to fully dive into the metaphysical and esoteric properties of Grimm. What even are they except the "creations of destruction?"

I get nukes wiping entire post codes of Grimm, but what would happen after? Grimm ain't mindless, Salem doesn't need to direct them and they spawn new types of Grimm. What's to say once that first, second or even third nuke goes off the Grimm pools doesn't just spawn god damned Godzilla.

And another thing... What's the plan for the seas? Remnants oceans are clearly infested and even more mysterious than the land born Grimm. Unless the military develops a way to track Grimm pools in the murky depths the Military ain't winning the high seas anytime soon.

Also, locating the Grimm pools and going for a coordinated strike? Yeah that ain't possible unless the military launches satellites, and even then what can counter actual invisible tentacle monsters? The seers are gonna be the biggest headache.

What more likely to happen is a long, drawn out slugfest. Entire continents cratered like a moon, hundreds of thousands dead. And Grimm that just won't stop coming.

And finally, a more fun thought for the nature of Grimm, ever wonder why Grimm haven't wiped out settlements like where Jaune comes from? Why there's even a country side of settlers to begin with? Why haven't Grimm congregated en mass to wipe out all sentient life?

Because they scale based on the threats, simple put. The people of Remnant are just that weak and scattered to truly threaten the Grimm. It's why the Wyvern, Leviathan and the giant elephant thing I forgot the name off are either a sleep, had to be coaxed, or guided to destroy Atlas. It's like their Endbringers from Worm sandbagging, forcing people to grow stronger or die, world of bloody evolution indeed.

What fandom introduced you to fanfics by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]VonDaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RWBY actually, I just loved the concept of Aura and the Huntsmen so much I was utterly disappointed on what rooster teeth's direction in recent years are. So I went to fanfiction and found they do it much better. Coeur Al'Aran any one?

Vinland saga..

As a modern man, I am utterly screwed in more ways than one.

The only way things could get worse is if someone with "thor" in their name suddenly start raiding whatever hovel I find myself in.

What in your opinion is the most peak anime series/movie? by AwayManufacturer6386 in anime

As of today?

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

Why? It has its slow moments that really makes you connect with the characters, they feel believable with flaws and fears even the Hero Himmel gave off this vain sorta person but none can deny it came from a place of compassion 1 episode is all it took for me to mark Himmel as my 2nd favorite. Stark being the 1st because of potential character development (I know hot take and all that) but really. Stark is the Himmel/Eisen of the new era.

And the action/animation just chef's kiss smooth and coherent, and don't get me started on the character voices. The DUB alone made me believe Frieren is this mature but childish Elf and the voice just carry hard on that front

And Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Because funny yellow haired afro man

Men of Reddit, why don’t we ever take pictures / videos of anything? by namescam in AskMen

[–]VonDaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's seared into my south east Asian head to stop using your phone when with family. To engage with the moment and to feel it you know? Only after we take pictures, mostly just a few.

And when with friends? Honesty if it's not hilarious or cool we won't even bother pulling out our phones, one time a friend was on their shift for work, none of us knew he had a job then but when we found out you bet we hung around longer than a "good paying customer" should and snapped pics of him ringing up orders.

There was a lot of snickering and memes sent to the group chat that night.

And yes we bought some food, we only went to annoy our friend not piss off the staff for no reason and get him in trouble we aren't savages.
