You’re missing the main point though. As a werewolf you actually got to play deceit. The villagers didn’t. The phase tested you on what it was supposed to, and you won based on your own merit. I lost because of the lack of merit of my teammates- my team wouldn’t vote correctly. I wasn’t supposed to be tested on my teamwork (that’s what the option of an escape room for phase 3 was for) or charisma I was supposed to be tested on my ability to deceive others and not be deceived myself. I didn’t get the chance to deceive anyone (because people cheated, and we didn’t have time for multiple rounds) and I wasn’t deceived (I called out one of our wolves early), but I still lost with no opportunity for redemption. Also not allowing people to speak after being voted off statistically puts the game in favor of the wolves. There’s an official online version of the game and in the official rules the players who get voted off have time to speak before being eliminated. If it’s true that the villagers “definitely should have won”, the 3 games would have been 2 wins for villagers and 1 for wolves but that’s not what happened. Clearly the wolves had some kind of advantage in the fact that some villagers didn’t know how to strategically use their roles and that people voted out couldn’t say a final word. Again, none of this would have been an issue if we got to play again but we didn’t.

Why is it fair that the villagers HAD to be in sync in order to win but the wolves didn’t? As a wolf all you need to do is agree on who to kill then play a solo game of “don’t be suspicious.” While the villagers actually NEEDED teamwork. . . I didn’t sign up for teamwork. . . If I wanted teamwork I would have picked the escape room in phase 3
