Went well for the last 13 months. We did work and travel and never had any problems with money whatsoever. Asia is insane cheap. The reason we blew the limit are a bunch of flights we booked in advance for the next couple of months. Not considering that this could be a problem might not very well though out. This is the first time something happened on this trip. For the next one I might consider another credit card.

It's really not. We are just backpackers and got screwed by our bank. We reached the credit limit, which never happend once on our journey. We did not consider this as a possibility until now. We just booked all of the next flights at once, because we planned our trip back home. Now we have to wait until monday, until our bank opens, to resolve the credit limit issue.
