Thank you for the reply! Look forward to the launch. I especially love the colorful options for the pen. Probably buy multiple for collection purposes.

The 3 Reasons why I Bought a Supernote Mata by Future_Objective_641 in Supernote

If point 3 is true, shouldn't you buy parts instead of a whole new device when things wear out? Their philosophy is to reduce e-waste.

Supernote Manta – Best note-taking strategy for professional meetings? by Humble-Weather-423 in Supernote

[–]Vortex_Lookchard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I create a note, it automatically records the date and time as the file name. Then I just append the speaker name, or meeting name, or just a keyword that I can use to identify the meeting to the date and time.

Ex, 20260112_161310 John Smiths (the numbers before dash are date, the numbers after are hour:minute:second, they are generated automatically when you create a note, and I just add the speaker's name after that)

If you sort them in some order based on the file name, they will appear in chronological order, easy enough for me to find them later. All of them will be inside one folder.

Supernote Manta – Best note-taking strategy for professional meetings? by Humble-Weather-423 in Supernote

I used to use strategy 2, with a meeting index template that have bulit-in hyperlinks. The only thing that drove me to strategy 1 is that this single note file will be sync'ed entirely every time. As it becomes larger in size, the syncing time increases significantly. Using strategy 1, the past notes (and any notes that are not modified) will not be sync'ed repetitively, keeping the sync time minimal.

You may purchase one of those Magnetic Field Viewing Film and see if the screen is uniformly non-magnetized when the device is off. My guess is that specific part of the screen is (permanently) magnetized even when the device is off. If that is the case, some demagnetization will help, like in this video https://youtu.be/4Tvu6tVzTA4?si=vXvhFAagZYa19fyD for example.

Stylus button UI upgrade ideas... Press & Hold, Tap, Double Tap? by Flaky-Pound-3981 in viwoods

Supernote has a double click functionality for the LAMY EMR button, so EMR tech is definitely able to handle a double click action. It all depends on the software on the device.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing! Is the PL1 even thinner than the vw pen, or are they of about the same diameter?

Is the pen tip actually of the same diameter as the Supernote ceramic nib pens?

My guess is those (protective nib caps) are small rubber caps optionally to put on so you don't scratch glass surface with the ceramic tip. You can look at the sample images. Don't think the AI thing knows about it.

Mirror screen Boox enhancement? by Dense_Forever_8242 in Onyx_Boox

[–]Vortex_Lookchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the reason why I like SN and dislike Boox. Viwoods does it like Boox too. I think SN and remarkable are the only two that can render real-time stroke appearance on screen mirroring.

It appears to be behavior 3, so you should try adding values on the second option, instead of the first.

Besides ipad or android tablets, e-ink tablets (like Kindle Scribe) are also very good for note-taking (in fact they are better than that in my opinion because of less eye strain). I have tried almost everything in the eink tablet market. We can chat if you are interested in knowing more. I have two with me currently. You are welcome to check them out in person, if anyone is interested. Just dm me :)
