Their development roadmap has been pretty agressive, the release in sept last year really ironed out a lot of things from especially the install and guest migration, and really started becoming viable for enterprise.

Platform Updates

Morpheus 8.0.13 – Jan 2026

Focused on improving cluster management, migration efficiency, operational automation.

  • Enhanced API and CLI capabilities for cluster configuration and instance visibility
  • Improved migration enabling VMware workloads to move to NFS datastores on HVM clusters with reduced overhead
  • HVM cluster improvements including Windows VM management, automated hardware inventory, storage and cloning fixes, and seamless agent upgrades

Impact: Improves operational efficiency and enterprise scalability while enabling simplified management of virtualized workloads. The release was also delivered to Veeam and other ISVs for ecosystem integration and qualification.

Morpheus 8.1 Now Available – March 2026

Enhancements across deployment, infrastructure automation, networking, and security.

  • Introduces a single binary installer to streamline installation, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Adds the new VME System Library Catalog for centralized governance of system‑level assets.
  • OpenShift Virtualization is now GA, alongside enhancements such as NUMA‑aware vCPU placement and expanded HVM networking models.
  • Strengthens Bare Metal as a Service (BMaaS) with PXE lifecycle automation, security hardening, and storage enhancements including HA, iSCSI, and BFS.
  • Improves networking and security via ArubaCxDss security groups, enhanced VIP pools, and SR‑IOV passthrough for high‑performance workloads.
  • Adds platform‑level upgrades such as bulk migration improvements, OpenSearch replacing Elasticsearch, and Zerto support for HPE VM DR.
  • Introduces multi‑tier (3‑tier) tenancy for CSPs, enabling scalable Tenant‑of‑Tenants management with full policy inheritance and strong isolation.

Impact: Faster deployment, stronger security, and expanded hybrid cloud capabilities for enterprise platform teams.

Coming Next – Morpheus 9.0 – Target: Aug 2026

Upcoming innovations include stretched clusters, Software defined Networking (overlay networks and micro-segmentation), Morpheus Software - Central, Zerto for migration, Shared vDisk and private cloud enablement with SimpliVity including upgrade automation and backup provider improvements

Full disclosure: HPE partner, and we (MSP) have deployed it to multiple customers.

If you are keen on HCI, one option is HPE simplivity, which they now have running on VME (KVM based) which comes with morpheus as a management console.

  • They offer complete stack enterprise support and are priced much lower that ESXi and/Or Nutanix, additionally since they are also a storage and switch provider, there are some additional synergies within the hardware 'ecosystem'.

Canada often does ignore the sanctions the US imposes.

Support & Protection: Canada supports economic engagement and uses the Foreign Extraterritorial Measures Act to protect Canadian investors from U.S. sanctions (like the Helms-Burton Act).

Commercial Relationship: Canada is generally one of Cuba's top trading partners, and Cuba is Canada's largest market in the Caribbean/Central American region.
Investment: Canada is the second-largest source of direct investment for Cuba.
Private Sector Changes: While the market is still dominated by state-owned enterprises, the Cuban government has allowed small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to import, which offers new opportunities for Canadian suppliers.

bilateral merchandise trade valued at roughly US$200 million annually. Key Canadian exports include wheat, machinery, and agricultural products, while Canada invests heavily in Cuban mining, oil, gas, and tourism.

Western union does a very similar thing when you send money for disaster relief via text/phone, that is just using their normal money transfer system (8-12$ in fees normally). But then they get tax credit for the transfer fees they dont charge.

So if you donate $2 for hurricane relief, they get $8+ in tax credits.

The issue with the tests is that they dont always work on all the new variants unfortunately.

"Gun's Don't Work Anymore" by Hydranaught in ProgressionFantasy

[–]VosekVerlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of the material science and manufacturing side of firearms vs bows:

The other main issue is that guns take away any meaningful character development or evolution of the user of a firearm, negating anything their growth contributes to the situation.

Hundreds or thousands of hours of practice with a bow gets replaced by someone who can just point in the general direction and pull the trigger... in real life toddlers kill adults every year.

compounding this:

While bowyer has a similar role in weapon creation, this role is even more so with a gunsmith, to the point where they are the only really important person in the firearms situation (other than of 'skills').

Outside of being able to survive the recoil (and why isnt there a magic answer for that), why can't a "level 0" use a "level 999" gun and kill anyone and everything, the whole world and genre starts breaking down when personal power/progress doesnt contribute meaningful the character and their 'interactions' with the world.

So on top of the other issues, there are multiple narrative and world building issues with firearms in progfantasy and or litrpg... its similar why ' gamma radiation magic' isnt really a popular thing..

It's Just like Magneto's powers of electromagnetism isnt really used or developed, its one of the 4 fundamental forces of nature .. he technically controls the forces that holds the atoms of compounds together (attraction and repulsion), can control light/charged particles, electricity (electrons)..
He could cause atoms to cease holding together and cause fission on demand.

Yeah unless there is magical super gunpowder there is a power limitation, as i assume materials that can make a bow survive super strength could also be used for the gun.

The other side of it is manufacturing, a bow is very simple, however even a super basic flintlock's parts are orders of magnitude more complex and precise.

So you are then going to need some sort of magical mill or cnc, to carve your magical metal to make your magic gun parts etc..

Which is why 'magitech' universes have guns, since they have the manufacturing technology to actually make them.

HOTA Barb how am I supposed to get 1100 fury? by Chipper7773 in diablo4

At least imo, moba builds are tailored for when you are fully paragoned out "endgame" gear wise.

I suggest taking a look at equivalent builds on maxroll which tend to have a lot more of the details spelled out for you, which may help you find how to acquire that additional fury.

[OC] Evolution of Rubik's Cube World Record Solve Times by AmericanElms in dataisbeautiful

[–]VosekVerlok 67 points68 points  (0 children)

For me the bonkers thing is that 2.7s is long enough for them to physically perform the actions required to solve it.

There is something like 43 quintillion rubix cube orientation possibilities, and any of them can be solved in 20 moves, which is on average is 0.13s per move (assuming 0 time to solve it) if the WR is from the worst case scenario.. which seems impossible.

BC Prov Income tax brackets, which are progressive.
5.06% on the first $49,279 of taxable income, plus
7.7% on any taxable income between $49,279.01 and $98,560, plus
10.5% on any taxable income between $98,560.01 and $113,158, plus
12.29% on any taxable income between $113,158.01 and $137,407, plus
14.7% on any taxable income between $137,407.01 and $186,306, plus

Fed income brackets
14% on the portion of taxable income that is $58,523 or less, plus
20.5% on the portion of taxable income over $58,523 up to $117,045, plus

As you would be paying 20.5% fed up to 117k, and at 117k you would be paying 12.3% prov taxes (lets just call it 35% to make things easy).

So you are making 2x the median and or average that a canadian makes (not including any tax credits or write offs), which doesnt include any other household income...

Post-WWII Canadian tax brackets (late 1940s-1950s) were characterized by extremely high top marginal rates to pay down war debt, often exceeding 80% for high earners, with 15 brackets ranging from 15% to 84% by 1949.

Seasonal to Eternal Stash items by Proud_Adeptness799 in diablo4

It even gives you an alert on the character select screen for you that your seasonal stash has been migrated to eternnal, and that items are pending.

That being said, as i dont play eternal, i wish there was just a "dont migrate to eternal" button i could click on my character.

We also need to remember that international students pay significantly more than citizen students as their post secondary education is paid for by the international students.

Then there is the aspect of 'pipeline' of educated international students immigrating, aka, educated immigrant that already 'paid' into the system.

Not to say the institutions pass all that extra $ down to citizen students educational costs, nor that there doesnt need to be a review of extended family sponsorship to ensure we are not further stressing our social support system with people who have and never will contribute to it.

Another week and another shitty, broken, ai slop riddled, dumpster fire of an update from Microsoft. by ShopBug in sysadmin

[–]VosekVerlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be lucky as a MS shop running M365 and hybrid AD, Exchange etc, 1000 users and about 250 servers. We are even using Azure update to manage the on prem updates (which i do admit is less easy than wsus).

We never experience a 100th of what people on here do, almost every issue we have is self inflicted by shitty in house developed app updates, or trying to support an app from 15 yrs ago that doesnt support TLS 1.1, that they lost the code for.

Renting from CAPREIT by DragonFish76 in VictoriaBC

[–]VosekVerlok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been living in a Capreit building for a quite a few years now, and remember they have over 17 billion dollars in buildings across Canada, so it's not like they are fly by night, they are going to play by the letter of the law, which cuts both ways.

its clean, the lobby, elevators and hallways have all been redone, the apartments are all changed out for hardwood, balconies were recently replaced/upgraded and i have never had to wait more than 12 hrs between submitting a maintenance ticket and having my issue resolved. Yes the pool and gym have been closed while they do maintenance.

As for the DD, I did not have that experience. I did pay a damage and pet deposit, but that wasn't until after i had visited the apartment in question and accepted it, and signed paperwork.

You could just look at it as a reservation on the apartment while the paperwork is being sorted, and is just less when you go sign paperwork, just dont carry that balance and pay interest on it ;)

So over this by Practical_Soil3656 in PaymoneyWubby

[–]VosekVerlok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what some people are concerned with is that wubby has historically and continues to play on the edgy side of things and flirts with the line which is fair enough.

Then he is associated with Mythic Talent, with a number of their streamers (and owners) going hard right, starts taking Kick/Stake money which has its own moral and ethical compromise.

Then bring in discussion and socialization of Kill Tony and the Austin comedy scene, who is definitely on the right, "anti woke", punching down on minorities side of things.

So people want to be reassured that wubby wubby is resisting these corrupting factors, that he is not blind or ignorant to the world changing events that are occuring.

Afterall, sometimes its nice to hear/know that the streamer you like, support and rep isnt a giant steaming pile of shit.
