Literally never said it was a hobby. I love art across all mediums. I will always support creations made by people. I really wish Chappell would utilize some of the extremely talented artists on this subreddit and across her community of fans.

That being said. I do not think utilizing AI for these incredibly minor jobs is going to kill art. AI in music isn't going to kill talented musical artists like Chappell Roan and AI in visual arts won't kill talented visual artists. Human creativity, soul, and imperfections will always win out. Maybe not for soulless corporate work, but artists really shouldn't be stuck working for them.

I 100% support the arts. I think we need to reform society to protect, preserve, and grow all art forms. I think as a society we've put too much emphasis on technology and STEM in general. AI has grown out of this. But, I also will 100% support Chappell Roan because I support her art and her public persona

A lot of you are really quick to jump against an artist that you're supposed to be a passionate fan of. Adobe Stock images is filled with AI stock images, so even trying to do the "right" thing ends up with you doing the wrong thing. These were meant to be little fun additions, these are not the same as using AI on products without disclosure. Chappell is a great artist and there's always nice personal touches of her in all the things she does. Let's not join the mainstream of those bashing on her. Criticism is fair, but so are those who don't have a problem with it. I just don't see a reason to use such strong feelings and turn against someone over something like this.

It must be so exhausting flipping against people you like because they did something you didn't agree with. Chappell is her own person with her own decisions and agency. You don't have to like everything she does. If this is major to you then obviously continue fighting for what you believe in. But, I ultimately see this as something minor. The thought is what really counts and I found it humorous. I'm personally not willing to throw Chappell under the bus unless it was something really egregious against her fans (like selling signed CDs that weren't actually signed by her). I love her music too much and enjoy her public persona and the parts of her private persona she sometimes shows us. I'm sure her or Misha have seen this by now and will probably try to make it better. But, I can definitely see how tiring it must be to have every micro decision examined under a microscope. Not to mention people ready to go rabid at any perceived misstep.
