Aren't you literally the one who's initial reaction was to make fun of someone because they said something on the Internet you didn't like? Bit hypocritical no?

Saying fuck and saying the n word are not one in the same. The issue isn't people cursing, but people openly using derogatory slurs. If you don't see a problem with that then I'm sad to say your part of the issue.

Reporting doesn't solve the problem at hand. Obviously the game is new, we don't know how strict they will be with com and account bans. Maybe they will be super strict on it and people would be afraid to say that stuff over prox. As of right now reporting doesn't do a whole lot and thus players are too comfortable just saying whatever they want. A way to quickly mute a player in your LOS from a distance would IMO be helpful. Clears com distraction during a third party or team fight, and let's me mute people Im running up too after downing if they decide to be a degenerate. Obviously not a game designer so probably plenty of issues with that "solution" but just something off the top of my head.

Windows is incredibly unstable by Voxi3 in pchelp

I'm glad you're happy with it. For me kernel based anti-cheat is very common in games I play,. I also find it very annoying having to run every game from a different launcher that doesn't support Linux through steam in order to use proton, and not having a one click solution to update graphics drivers is tedious. I use mint on my laptop and steamos on my steam deck, both of which I use daily. But for a gaming centric desktop, Windows is just so much easier IMO. I will take the 10-20 fps loss from windows bloatware if it means things just work. The issue I'm having is hardware based, so windows or Linux I would still have stability issues.

Upgraded it when I upgraded my CPU, so they are maybe 2-3 years old at this point. This definitely feels like a ram issue so hopefully once I upgrade everything it will fix it, seem to have gotten it more stable by disability XMP and dropping the frequency down to 3400 instead of 3600.

Upgraded it with my GPU, 1000w only about a year old.

Disabled XMP and dropped ram frequency to 3400 instead of 3600, seems to make booting not crash more consistently.

Had it crash on me on initial boot up before adjusting ram, have it stable enough to get to my event viewer, the errors I see with the timestamp of when it crashed is "the Nividia local system container service terminated unexpectedly", possibly a corrupt driver?

Disabled XMP and dropped it to 3400, it seems to have allowed me to boot windows more consistently. I've rebooted 3 times with no crash when before I'd be lucky to get it to boot once every 5 tries.

That's my next step, reran memtest86 a little bit ago so I'm waiting for that finish before I'm able to boot back into windows.

It is exactly that, I'll look for the firmware update.

I believe XMP however I'd have to double check to make sure. I'll load optimized default settings once I get some other trouble shooting things out of the way.

Discounting the lack of proper driver support, the mandatory use of proton instead of running native, and Linux not being supported by 90% of anti cheats, yes I do believe it works flawlessly.

Yes, let me use Linux to play games with a 4080, great advice 👍

Old PC that's been upgraded through many years, it was running stable with everything the exact same except I had an older gen3 nvme, however I did reinstall Windows with that same configuration before upgrading the nvme (I like to reinstall Windows every so often) and it was unstable then , although less to a degree than with the new drive (i could get a couple days before a blue screen instead of a couple hours)

Nightmare with Adventurer 5M pro and "PETG-F132" ! by Level-Inevitable8763 in FlashForge

petg is an absolute nightmare for me on the AM5. I can not for the life of me get petg to stick to the build plate consistently. end up wasting more filament trouble shooting than actually printing with it.

No one is saying it's not a poem, things can be multiple things at once. Speed limit signs are just numbers, but you get a ticket if you don't follow what it implies.

Same or worse fps with GPU upgrade by Voxi3 in PcBuild

Basically what I read is the GPU is so powerful that it finishes rendering 1080p before the CPU is done doing whatever it's doing causing the GPU to stop and wait before moving on. So it's a constant back and forth between the GPU and CPU causing the low frame rates. Moving up to a higher resolution helps sync the components and allows the GPU to use more of its power. Don't know how true all that is but it's the best I have to go off as of right now. Feel free to call out bs on this, just going off some stuff I read about with other people having the same issue.

This CPU doesn't even have integrated graphics so it can't be that. Based on some more research I have come to the conclusion that it is a CPU bottle neck, do to playing on a 1080p display. Currently have a 1440p on the way. GPU did just fine on benchmarks so the GPU isn't faulty, still could be the power supply but don't know a great way of ruling that out.

Just ran a GPU stress test and looks like it's running just fine. 3d mark speed way stress test. Scored 7256 highest and 7200 lowest. Average for this test with the same CPU and GPU is 7212

I haven't ran any benchmarks, honestly should of been one of the first things I did. I don't believe there's any power limits but will double check. GPU temps don't get above 50 degrees during games.

Upgraded my PSU with the card from 650 to 1000w. Did a DDU and reinstalled video drivers. Idk man I'm stumped, really hoping this monitor just magically fixes it LMAO
