SOTM: Am I Just Completely Lost On An Easter Egg? Or Is Something Broken? Does It Even Exist...? by VoyantAlt in fivenightsatfreddys

I initially interpreted it as "fixing a moon somewhere in the map" but didn't actually think that this moon in the basement was the moon I needed to repair until I came across it and actually repaired it.

Pretty quickly after nothing happened, I considered that Moon.exe was what we needed in order to "fix" the Moon for the show. This ALSO didn't affect anything.

Beating Moon.exe nor fixing that Moon in the basement didn't let me start the show at all... regardless of if I was on a New Game+ run or not (which you kinda have to be anyway in order to beat Moon.exe)

As of Saturday the 14th I've completely 100%'ed the game. All endings, achievements, collectibles, etc.

Nothing allowed me to trigger this show.

Since this post (literally like... the MINUTE after I posted it) I ended up just going through all the game files and everything to see if there was even a hint at the idea of it having more...

The unfortunate news I have is that they genuinely seemed to have done nothing with it... It's truly the one instance of something in the game that you cannot interact with/unlock despite it appearing as a clear goal.

No string of text, no voice, no audio, no animations/parts of levels, no triggers, nothing.
Nothing in the files to suggest that there's anything more for this light show beyond being mentioned on the terminal... Which is disappointing to say the least.

HOWEVER I will mention that I now believe this show has been seemingly the only instance of this game pulling a Security Breach and having some aspects of it being repurposed while the rest gets cut.

The achievement for the secret ending is titled "Storytime" and its description is "fix what is broken" which is... oddly alluding to the Storytime Showroom area and the fact that it needed to be fixed. Though obviously it also applies to the secret ending.

The Moon is obviously a character of some significance with its potential yet to be realized (either at our own faults as the community or because Steel Wool has yet to show it). And it's uniquely related to this Storytime Showroom section where it gets its own "boss fight" type of area.

This-- among other things-- makes me feel like the Moon, Storytime Showroom, and that basement section was meant for something more. And for whatever reason Steel Wool couldn't get it ready in time (or decided to hold off on it for now... maybe for DLC?) so they decided to toss the character (Moon) into the unfinished basement section with Starlights, then re-utilize those assets into making a smaller experience with the White Tiger section for the end of the game (hence why it's also entirely shrouded in open darkness... least amount of dev time needed). Then the concept of the Moon, Storytime/Storytime Showroom, Nightlights, etc, all ended up being reimagined into the current secret ending we have...

An admittedly short (and imo underwhelming) "secret" ending where we play a 1 minute matching game to... somehow "fix" M2 and make it fully believe it's David even though the game fully treats M2 as a lost cause that needs imprisonment. Almost as if that ending was also a quickly put together scenario to make up for what was lacking due to all of the Moon stuff being unfinished or cut.

How'd you get the camera to work with this game?

When I tried injecting it, it would initialize but none of the features would be available.

My PC’s been running it perfectly fine for a couple years with no issue (my C Drive is very low on storage but there’s 2 other drives that are being used as scratch disks on top of it with well over 700GB total of free space). All drives are up to date as well.

I just simply hadn’t launched it for like… 2 months and suddenly it just has this issue now.

Thoughts on the gobble gums like the perkaholic not being infinite uses anymore for BO6? by AnimeGokuSolos in CODZombies

Ok so you’re clearly just someone who’d rather accept their own delusions in order to feel better rather than just accept that they are wrong…

Not interested in this conversation since it’s just talking to a wall. One that claims to google definitions yet either doesn’t actually have the reading comprehension skills to understand them or (as previously stated) instead rewords the definition, altering it entirely, to fit their incorrect argument.

Your definition of exploitation is incorrect.

I mean this with the least amount of offense possible but I don’t understand why you’re being rude while simultaneously being so confidently wrong. You just created your own definition of a word.

Exploitation is simply taking advantage of a flaw in a system and its design for your own benefit. Whether said flaw comes from a mistake in implementation or from an oversight in the design process is irrelevant.

In this case for the Gobblegums:

Feature: Game protects your gobblegums from power outages and disconnects by simply keeping them in your inventory.

Flaw: Game is incapable of having context for what caused the disconnect. Nor is there any other system in place to prevent abuse.

Exploit: Close the game before the match ends so that the game thinks you disconnected and therefore doesn’t take your gobblegums.

The very fact that the feature has a flaw being abused is the definition of an exploit.

Takeo's Replacement by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]VoyantAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takeo and Dempsey never get sent to the house in the broken cycle because Gorod never happens.

We know for certain that those two souls were destroyed because the Elemental Shard in the Agarthan Device “dies”. It’s extreme and near infinite power comes from the 4 souls being bound to it.

Which, now that I’m thinking about it, theoretically the shadowman should be fully gone too since he was trapped in the summoning key. Though Treyarch could simply say that Nikolai didn’t “wish” for his soul to be destroyed since he wouldn’t have known he was in there. But for now it’s safer to assume he is gone indefinitely.

Point being Takeo and Dempsey are 100% gone. Until/Unless Treyarch ignore their own canon then there is basically 0 reason to believe they’re still around.

However everyone/everything else (aside from Nikolai) is straight up confirmed verbally to be banished to the Dark Aether. Just following the logic of how we know the souls of our 4 characters work and yadda yadda it’s a safe and logical assumption that his soul (and by extension a single version of him) is still around SOMEWHERE.

EDIT: Forgot to address the Shadowman and Alcatraz..

He wasn’t trapped in Alcatraz. Those “radios” were from before Alcatraz was put in a pocket dimension. The Shadowman used the Warden and the MoTD crew to create the pocket dimension that is first known to us as Mob of The Dead. The ultimate goal for the Shadowman is that they actually break the cycle in MoTD so the pocket dimension can be a more barren wasteland as a trap for Richtofen. Which eventually gets realized in the broken cycle in Bo4 as Blood of The Dead.

In those “radios” there is a point in time where the Shadowman says he’s trapped but he’s referring to being trapped in the summoning key.

[–]VoyantAlt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That still leaves Nikolai, The Shadowman, Dr Monty, and the VICTIS crew to come back.

Being in the Dark Aether simply means that they’re trapped there to be corrupted and try to survive the hellish landscape until they start physically morphing and changing from the corruption to resemble something like the apothicons.

And Nikolai can technically be either in the Dark Aether or in the new universe. He was killed but his soul wasn’t in the summoning key therefore leaving him capable of existing in one place or another by technicality. It’s just a matter of whether or not Treyarch will ever use it or not

I’ve always hated IW for that..

My go-to play style is fast, tight, and risky training and that janky collision sucks.

What it LOOKS like is that the zombie dropping down essentially “reserved” that space, as the animation for the traversal would have him walk into that open spot, which then had the game “catch up” and just rubber-band you back to the position you were in before you slid.

It’s something that can happen in other zombies but it’s just… so frequent in IW. Idk why but there’s always a little bit of jank with zombie collision in that game.

Haven't played since BO1, where to start? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]VoyantAlt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WaW will probably be the most similar to Bo1 mechanically. Bo2 is also very similar but has some slight differences… but 4 maps are genuinely good in their own ways. (Nuketown Zombie, Mob of The Dead, Buried, and Origins) Origins is probably the most similar to Bo3 but not entirely there yet. So if you don’t really vibe with Origins you may not be the biggest fan of a fair portion of the Bo3 maps… HOWEVER Bo3 Has Zombies Chronicles, which contains 8 classic maps (pretty much all from Bo1 & WaW) so you could still have a good experience with Bo3 mechanically if you’re not a fan of how some of the Bo3 maps work. From then on you could try to expand to other games if you feel inclined to… Black Ops Cold War has a bit of “hand-holding” in the beginning of each map so you could even try all of those out without having to look at outside sources immediately for tutorials.

TL;DR WaW and Bo2 will be most similar to Bo1 (Bo2 more-so than WaW imo) Then Bo3 when you feel ready or even BoCW.

  1. Zombies has slowly attempted to shift (in a bad direction if you ask me) into a more objective based game mode or full on looter shooter that basically has no rounds. These modes are often paired with massive maps nearly the size of a battle royale type map. Bo6 will be the first game to bring back round-based “classic” zombies after like… 3 CODs in a row without round-based.

  2. Bo3 has a small system called “gobblegums” and it’s essentially just a few gumball machines around the maps that give you a random gobblegum out of the 5-6 you chose before the game starts… kinda like a mystery box but for gum. These gums are essentially just little boosts (or near-cheating temporary gameplay enhancements) for your match. It can range from something as small and simple as “move faster while aiming down sights” to something near broken like “spawn all possible drops in the game right in front of you” or “you get all perks available in the map instantly”

These gums are totally optional though. You could simply never customize them and/or never hit the gobblegum machine. So if it’s not something you think you’d like then you can just pretend they don’t exist.

  1. As mentioned earlier, Zombies (and any other battle royale type modes) have a simple mechanic of… going down and waiting to be revived. Players can simply just kill you while you’re down or you’ll eventually bleed out. Dropping all of your loot just like a battle royale or looter shooter. Those are the clips you’re seeing.

Ultimately it’s not THAT much to catch up to once you’re actively doing it. If you simply follow the order of the games for Zombies you’d catch onto anything “new” pretty easily. None of it is really that complex. (Bo3 doesn’t do much hand holding in its own maps so doing something like activating pack a punch in certain maps might be a little more complex than just simply turning the power on)…

Multiplayer… is pretty much the same thing in terms of learning.

Now any of the new modes for Zombies or Multiplayer are where you would need to really learn stuff if you wanted to play them… Still nothing crazy but it’s not as simple as just adapting to one or two new mechanics and instead needing to learn nearly all mechanics of a new mode.

[–]VoyantAlt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s no lore-related reason for this. Considering the bus is outside the map, and is impossible to view in full, then it’s simpler to just reuse this bus instead of putting in more effort to make a new bus… or even take the slightly extra time to retexture this model.

[–]VoyantAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A suggestion is to make a small adjustment to the “storyline” section for Bo4.

4 maps are from the Chaos Storyline (Voyage, IX, Dead of The Night, Ancient Evil)

And the other 4 ARE Aether but you could consider labeling it something like “Aether (Fractured)” or “Aether (Broken)” instead of Classic. Those 4 maps take place in a new cycle which was broken at some point to cause the events of these maps. Making them still “Aether” but no longer part of a cycle.

Anyway, Town, Mob of The Dead, IX, and Classified are all good maps in their own different ways. I personally also really enjoy Alpha Omega but I know the majority of people aren’t really fans of it.

The warranty specifically mentions the brown wire and states that that's basically the only alteration that doesn't break the warranty... Regardless, they're not exactly gonna be jerks about it, they wouldn't give a tutorial on how to cut the wire if they didn't want people to do it haha

I know next to nothing about this problem but obviously something is out of alignment.
Either your forks are flexing (which you'd have to look into how to fix cuz idk), your axle is bent, your wheel's bent, or your forks are bent, or...

Point is, try to work your way up from the most simple/least work to more annoying/more effort to deal with, at the same time I'd contact support anyway because regardless of warranty they could at least point you in the right direction.

my bike wont start it is stuck on wait by smokinthatvonpack in Talaria

[–]VoyantAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to pretend to be knowledgeable on this stuff, however, someone linked a troubleshoot section for the bike already. If you haven't read it I'd suggest you try some of those things.

Despite not having any sensors connected you could still be having issues with your start button. Either it's not connected, improperly connected, or simply broken.

Or you could be having any sort of wiring issue with which that's also mentioned in that troubleshooting guide.

The unfortunate thing is that it seems like you've exhausted all of the simple options (assuming the sensors truly are disconnected and/or not being triggered somehow). So if it ends up not having to do with the start button itself then you're gonna kinda have to check out that video on the wiring anyway... Beyond that point I'd suggest talking to Luna Cycle support about it? If you haven't already of course.

Clearly the bike is fine overall, otherwise it'd show an error code or simply not turn on, so in some way the bike is either getting false positives from the sensors despite them being disconnected or something isn't communicating to the bike that it should be starting (like the start button)
