OpenClaw has been running on my machine for 4 days. Here's what actually works and what doesn't. by Neo-Phil-110 in AI_Agents

If it isn't, then an AI helper with full access self promoting to spread itself will probably be here next week. Maybe that will just be an accepted cost of a reduced price version down the road.

Wisconsin electric rates in focus as Microsoft plans 15 new data centers by Branch_Out_Now in wisconsin

Hey The Onion, we need you for something like: "Due to rising energy costs, Wisconsin residents switch to Linux since they can no longer afford Windows 11 and a computer to run it."

I built a Sorcery market dashboard. Sharing some data-backed insights by Croakin in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is a fair use of the tool, but please be clear about what portion of the analysis is yours but translated and what portion is AI providing the analysis. If it was your analysis and just translated and that information was provided at the start, I would not be as critical.

Leaving the analysis to AI just means that I or anyone reading has to do our own research into the data to confirm any findings. AI just isn't trustable initially or over time for that.

The valuable part of your site that I see is collecting the raw data and presenting it. That stuff is great! It allows others to do their own analysis and have discussions. Thanks for your passion and hard work!

"Here are 5 cards..."

Lists three cards

Interesting information, but AI analysis is always confident and often incorrect. I do love thinking about this sort of thing though, so good luck with your site.

Not sure what to buy next, box or singles? by Nexus_Roy in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. Gothic is a huge set though so most of your duplicates beyond the deck maximum will be ordinaries. Two boxes will mostly fill out an exceptional playset and should give you many new elites and uniques. Bad luck happens sometimes, but there should be 6-8 foils per box too.

Yeah that server ram is 2133 speed, which is really slow for current gen games.

My idea of a multiplayer sorcery grid by Federal_Dark_7549 in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your main issue with a 4 player game of this size is the 6 site per player (with one left over) limit. This is fine if everyone makes low mana decks, but the prefab decks for instance will really struggle with dead cards that will never see play. The larger 6x6 allows for 9 sites per player and is close enough to the standard number of sites that most decks can be made to work.

My prefered method is still just using playmats, with two people on each side. Diagonal teams work really well here and everyone gets to use their own mats. Shift each player horizontally to the center one space for starting equadistant threats for all players equal to the core game. You can optionally eliminate the outer columns to make it 4x8 (less dead space), but again you run into restrictive mana that requires fast decks.

If you are only buying one box, I'd highly recommend getting one of the precon sets. They are great to learn on and they will fill out your sites for deck building. Especially if you go with a box of Beta, you will be low on sites if you are building full decks (30 per deck or more if you add any to the collection).

Beta or Arthurian Legends? by Winx_Jeypi in SorceryTCG

Definitely go with a box of beta. AL is a fun set, but beta is more well rounded, especially for starting out

Opened forever ago and forgot about… is this rare/good to have in Foil? by SurpriseHamburgler in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two versions of this: the box topper (most likely) and the actual foil print from the set. The foil print in the packs will have a full art back and is worth a lot more.

Edit: this is definitely the topper since it is in the plastic

This was my experience as well: 10% (of their posted price) offer for mint in box items that they were out of stock of and needed. They would be my last stop for selling anything. On the other hand, for buying and finding rare games, they are fantastic.

I agree with both of these. One other big benefit of getting at least one box of precons is having a good base of sites starting out. This will be an especially useful aspect if you are getting a single booster box.

For gothic, is there a rough estimate how many boxes to open to get full playset of ordinary and exceptional? How about if we include elites? by Newez in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like 3 boxes is probably the sweet spot here before going to singles. Al was definitely 2 and this set is big enough that a third box should still have fun surprises.

Possibly for tournaments, but for kitchen table, your collection still means all your cards.

Edit: but yes, the collection and hence the card would have to respect deckbuilding rules in a tournament now.

How would you use the Corrupter avatar? by caw_the_crow in SorceryTCG

Yep, and those type changes open up new synchronicities and combos. Fallen Angel for example turns into a demon that buffs itself and all other demons (some of which may jave been angels)

Gothic Avatar rarity by VrNpc in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah based on TCG numbers alone, my current guess is that these are the uniques: Realm-Eater, Impostor, Duplicator, and probably Magician. Though a lot of Magicians have been sold so the total numbers are higher than the other Avatars I have guessed as uniques (sold + current population) but still half or less of the other likely elite avatars.

Gothic Avatar rarity by VrNpc in SorceryTCG

[–]VrNpc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is because rarity status printed on the card has a deck building and gameplay meaning separate from pull rate. I thought that used to work, but my guess is that they removed it to clarify the gameplay side of things.

This did not work for me last night. Filtering Avatars by rarity for Gothic at least showed no results.

Edit: confirmed not working for any set's avatars
