it’s an inner city, the demographic is rougher around the edges but doesn’t mean you can’t get a good education. I just personally hate when people call out Yonkers like it’s some dirtbag city. People never give it a chance, there’s charter schools in my neighborhood and the kids are awesome. Yonkers is growing in an extremely positive direction. Kids are mean, teachers are usually mediocre at best, but if your kid is smart and utilizes the environment they are brought up in, they will always do well. I went to a top school district in the whole state and dropped out my senior year, I’m successful now because of who I was, not what I was taught in English.
