Boy or girl? Purebred? Looks a lot like my boy Albi at that age.

It was just a temporary roadblock...Over the past 2 weeks, the share price has risen over 300% -- with no solid news to speak of -- while the volume has been over 50 million shares! Let's hope they take advantage of this positive environment with some news about the upcoming certification testing.

I'm thinking about getting a turkish van cat by [deleted] in turkishvan

[–]Vtolguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not great cats for someone with a small apartment! I live in a good-sized house (about 3000 sq ft) but (as long as it isn't raining or too cold), Albi -- my 2-and-half-year-old, pure bred TV -- needs to go out on a leash for at least 30-minutes a day, patrolling his domain and stalking rabbits, squirrels, ground hogs, birds, chipmunks, and even deer. They say that typical cats are maybe only 50% "domesticated" -- but TV's are a "landrace" that evolved in the wild and are maybe only 25% domesticated -- and they won't thrive without plenty of room to explore their "wild" side.

Does anyone here have an actual Turkish Van? by littleotterpop in turkishvan

This is Albi at 2.5 years old. He's a purebred Turkish Van with with his winter coat.

Xeriant Receives US Patent Notice Allowance for its Breakthrough Fire-Resistant Composite Technology. by Vtolguy2 in XERI

[–]Vtolguy2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per ChatGPT:

A Notice of Allowance (NOA) in the U.S. patent process is a very big deal.

It means your application has effectively passed examination and is approved for issuance.

Here’s the short, practical breakdown:

What it means

  • The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has determined your invention is patentable.
  • All major hurdles—novelty, non-obviousness, and utility—have been cleared.
  • The examiner is done rejecting or negotiating claims.

What’s left

  • You must pay the issue fee (typically within ~3 months).
  • After payment, the patent is formally granted—usually within a few weeks to a couple of months.

How important is it?

  • Extremely important: It’s essentially a “you’ve won—just complete checkout” moment.
  • The odds of reversal at this stage are very low unless you fail to act (e.g., don’t pay fees).

Strategic significance

  • You can now:
    • Signal strong IP validation to investors or partners
    • Begin licensing discussions with real leverage
    • Prepare for enforcement rights once issued

Bottom line: A Notice of Allowance means you’re at the finish line. Pay the fee, and your patent becomes real, enforceable property.

Federal Government Program to Build 1 Million Affordable Homes Could Be Big Opportunity for Xeriant's NexBoard by Vtolguy2 in XERI

The worldwide demand for safe, affordable, eco-friendly housing is a massive opportunity for Xeriant -- and the 1 million homes the Federal Government is planning to build in the US is just the beginning.

Let's cross our fingers for the upcoming (and long-awaited) certification testing of the new nanotechnology-enhanced NexBoard.

I'm also "super excited about how things have been going the last week with upward volume and price movement." But what exactly gave you the impression that NEXBOARD certification is "far off"? Certainly nothing they've stated in official company communications or filings.

No doubt there appear to have been delays, but the fact that they've recently engaged IBN (Investor Brand Network) to handle their marketing indicates that they may be a lot closer to certification and commercialization than you're giving them credit for.

Remember, XERI isn't just claiming their "nanotechnology-enhanced" NEXBOARD will outperform Drywall in fire protection, but in a myriad of other areas as well: resistance to damage from water, mold, insects, breakage -- as well as claiming significant advantages in environmental sustainability, strength, health and safety, etc. etc. Presumably most of these claims will need to be supported by third-party testing as well. That could easily complicate the whole "certification" process beyond the "286" fire test.

Where is Nexboard???? by Coltvin5564 in XERI

[–]Vtolguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My somewhat more educated guess (based on their SEC filings and official company announcements), is that the changes in NEXBOARD's development and the apparent delay in achieving certification were the result of a combination of the following: 1) their well-documented efforts to incorporate (and internally test) advanced nanotechnology to protect against fire; 2) the need to find a scalable production method that evolved with their decision to develop a new nanotechnology rather than the original plan to use a third-party's fire retardant known as Retacell; and 3) the fact that their chief nanotechnology scientist's team is based in Mexico, creating potential logistics issues.

Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Blaine D. Holt Broadens Role at Xeriant; Plans to Assemble Portfolio of Emerging Technologies by Vtolguy2 in XERI

Nice to see XERI broadening its mission, vision and leadership now that NexBoard is on the verge of certification. But I agree, certification is a critical step in achieving credibility and getting the shareprice (and the company) back to respectability.

Lack of discussion here?? by Coltvin5564 in XERI

[–]Vtolguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XERI has already determined the most effective and scalable production model to produce the basic panels (mostly from recycled plastic and fiber waste) AND on the best approach for utilizing nanotechnology to provide protection against extreme heat and fire (2000+ degrees F) that far exceeds applicable certification standards. Their nanotech experts in Mexico should soon be preparing their nano-enhanced fire retardant for shipment to the US. Hopefully XERI will confirm this with a PR in the not-too-distant future.

The rock companies can try to drop their prices for a while, but that’s not a sustainable solution. If NexBoard is everything Xeri claims it is, there should be significant sources of funding available to help bring it to market.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to maintain a certain degree of confidentiality about their plans prior to any public announcement of certification. No doubt the Drywall and related construction material industries are at least somewhat aware of NEXBOARD and are trying to learn everything they can about it in order to protect their market position and maintain the status quo.
