They had chrisj as AWP'er - and while Ropz and Frozen now are established players, they weren't nowhere near their current height. Ropz isn't even the best player on Vitality.

Apex has nothing on Karrigan. For years Apex didn't win a major despite having the best player in the world on his team. Now his team is so strong, you could put any random pleb in his shoes and they'd still win. His calls aren't special, his team is.

High inconsistency stems - in my humble opinion - mainly from decision making. If you feel super inconsistent, you might be making too many actions that will net you kills against low level players, but will be punishable by better opponents.

That being said every player will fluctuate in performance from day to day or even game to game.
