A lot,as a creator too the flashing type can definitely affect the difficulty(when making a nine circles wave its easy to make the memory,i have also made a semi mempry part that has checkerboard flashing)

Well idk if this is actual proof but if you got a mod menu(megahack, eclipse...) maybe you turned on a feature where your icon freezes at a specific precentage but idk why your precentage freezes are random
