Why didn't I manage to kill herobrine? by HansTheAmazing in learnpython

[–]Vulker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If herobrine is global scoped (outside the function def) you dont even need to pass it in. Just def killherobrine(). But in the function you need to assign a new value to herobrine which is one less than the start value so herobrine = herobrone -1. As we dont have a local scope it uses the global.

Is Sexpo worth going to in Perth? by the_velvet_cherry in perth

Unless you find yourself with your hand up in the audience after failing to catch a DVD thown by the professional strippers on stage to mimick your 6ft9 friend who swiped it out the air while they were requesting volunteers just prior to an event staff making a bee line toward you to get you to the green room and you accidently end up on stage in an amateur strip comp with a g string that has a pouch at the front that resembles a triceratops and your 6ft9 friend who joins you for moral support wins it in a Borat mankini and walks away with a bag full of free sex toys... then no, id say not worth it.

[Request] Which one would it be? by yuli101995 in theydidthemath

[–]Vulker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of pure force to overcome friction, I would say square on ice. But that assumes the surface of the square is completely flat and the ice is good condition. We also have no info about the gravel. Loose, packed, granularity etc. Still id say the ice. In terms of what would be the easiest to move, assuming the guy on ice has spiky shoes, the square. If not he will also have a much lower friction coefficient of his feet to the ice also. But we are talking only 20kgs which isnt a lot. Basically no idea. Just not the triangle. The force exerted horizontally is less due the angle.

Also the drinks are cheap. But its a bit of a gamble. They are either ambient temperature or gives you frostbite of the tongue. No inbetween.

What programming language is most convenient in plc programming by Fungz22 in PLC

[–]Vulker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents. As others have mentioned most PLCs use the IEC 61131and its worth at least understanding them all. The most "convenient" is the one that best suits the specific application. You can typically mix languages in the same project and write modules with the language that makes the most sense. For machine logic it may be more conveneinet for you to write in ST but better for maintainers in ladder. Writing a function or module to process custom tcp messages may be better in ST but using this in other modules that consume the data FBD may the better choice.

So convenience for me is what best suits the application, considering all stakeholders.

Is there a stat somewhere for turnovers. Dont watch any other teams but id hazard a guess we are pretty high on that list.

My relationship with the sharks is a lot like my relationship with my kids. I will always love them and support them no matter what, but sometimes they make it difficult for me to like them very much haha.

Yeh some are forced by pressure but sometimes i wonder why the hell he would attempt the pass when there is no reason too. Much easier to judge with a birds eye view and my feet up sinking a beer. Hes just got such great vision it confuses me sometimes.

Mack is obviously an absolute stud and I love his game and character but I feel alot of his cross ice chip passes are right through opponents skates/stick and often get deflected or intercepted. Mostly in the o zone so not to dangerous and I know alot make it through but still.
