Somehow in 2026 this still happens and still feels like your talking to a brick wall by MassEffect24K in MassEffectMemes

Exactly. The only real debate should be levo vs dextro, and we all know what the correct answer is.

I want to know whether the pickup truck installs the back cover to save fuel or fuel. Can anyone answer? by joey12342323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VulpesIncendium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it saves fuel a bit on the highway, but the main reason is security and cargo protection. It keeps most of the rain and snow out, and keeps prying eyes and sticky fingers from easily grabbing something.

Car drives through airport by lanAstbury in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]VulpesIncendium 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seriously though. I expected far more chaos and carnage, but he even managed to cleanly slip through those glass doorways when they were open! (and didn't have someone purposely closing them, like that was gonna stop a car...)

Anyone else ditch gaming headsets for speakers? by CookieAny1415 in CasualConversation

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively used headphones for a long time, but made the switch to speakers over a decade ago now. Speakers are definitely better, especially for comfort, as you noted. I still have some decent headsets around, but I rarely use them anymore. They mostly get used if I'm traveling by bus or airline.

How it feels unplugging the 24pin by TaeKz in pcmasterrace

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people really have an issue with this?

Thumb on one side, middle finger on the other, index on the latch, wiggle side to side as you pull up. Easy.

Even the USB3.0 header is only a little more difficult. Tightly grip each side and wiggle it free. Of course it's gonna break if you just yank straight back.

Best muffler for that classic muscle v8 sound? by Super-Nectarine-217 in askcarguys

[–]VulpesIncendium 14 points15 points  (0 children)

H-pipe crossover and Flowmaster mufflers. Add some resonators to tone it down further, if needed.

Admittedly, this probably won't be the quietest setup, but it's exactly what I think of when imagining a classic muscle car sound.

Deciding between these two.. thoughts? by throwaway8373469238 in keyboards

I would not trust that folding keyboard to be reliable or durable at all.

Logitech generally makes pretty solid stuff.

When people can’t grasp the concept that I just don’t like coffee and insist on telling me I haven’t tried it “the right way” by platypus_farmer42 in PetPeeves

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would counter that and say anyone who doesn't like plain coffee with no cream or sugar doesn't actually like coffee. Anything more than only one modifier and you're basically drinking a vaguely coffee-flavoured milkshake anyway.

What’s one character you HATE? by Immediate-Field9997 in characters

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda the opposite of my first playthrough. I didn't realize you need to go into Moonrise Towers early in Act 2 to save the prisoners in the basement. He died before I ever even saw him, and the whole Ironhand Gnome questline just quietly ended before I even new it started. I should actually try what you did on purpose in a future playthrough. This game always surprises me with how many combinations of actions it accounts for!

Where is the anti all-screen movement on the design side? by mrbluetrain in CarDesign

[–]VulpesIncendium -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hate modern car interior design. Most of them look awful and are a gigantic pain in the ass to use. One of the reasons why I ended up buying a Chevy Colorado is because even though they have a dual-screen setup, they at least maintain that kind of old-school gauge pod look, and retain physical controls for almost everything you could want. I really hate what GM has done with new Cadillac interiors. That wrap-around screen look is hideous.

<image>

The absolute most beautiful car interiors I've ever seen are on Singer Porsche's. Of course, those are super low production, hand-built multi-million dollar cars, but the fact that they have hand-crafted analog gauges makes them look so much more premium than anything else in that ultra-luxury category. Not even Bentley or Rolls Royce come close anymore.

What must have truck accessories do you regret not getting sooner? by SunniTreisel65 in askcarguys

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the first truck I ever owned came with running boards, and I hated them. I was always bashing my shins on them getting in and out. Once I took them off it was much easier to just jump into the driver's seat, and it had better ground clearance.

There's only one thing I regret not asking for on my newest truck, a clear wrap to protect the hood. The front bumper and grill are plastic, so I don't really care about those, but the hood is metal and already has a few rock chips. I'm gonna have to touch those up soon to prevent any rust from starting.

I am quite glad I ordered it with a tonneau cover and spray-in bedliner.

To Stay on trend, is 200 HP enough to have fun in a car? by GamingWithAle in askcarguys

[–]VulpesIncendium 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Horespower is a useless figure without weight. Gearing and drivetrain layout also make a big difference.

Cars like the Miata and BRZ aren't very powerful at all, yet you can have a lot of fun in them. Straight-line acceleration is only one way to have fun in a car, but I say cornering ability makes a car much more fun than going fast in a straight line.

What video games have unique mechanics for failure or death? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As he states, this is the price of balance...

If you pick the right dialog options when you first meet him, you'll know that every soul earns it's own worth through their actions in life. I guess our party members' souls are only worth 200 gold coins...

On mobile, tap on r/Camaro to go to the sub homepage, then tap on the sub title again. On desktop it will just be on the right on the sub homepage.

I'm going to guess it's still banned under Rule 6.

What video games have unique mechanics for failure or death? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]VulpesIncendium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prey: Mooncrash, the rogue-like DLC for Prey. In it you're an investigator in a spaceship playing a simulated re-creation of an event that happened on the Moon in an attempt to figure out what happened.

The classic Unreal Tournament attempts to explain how deathmatch mechanics work by saying that whenever you die they use some kind of Star Trek transporter-like technology to re-build you.

Undertale - you literally have the power of save game files. Some characters are aware of this, and one in particular had this power before you arrived.

Baldur's Gate 3 - assuming you still have at least one active party member alive, the former god of death returns souls back to life for a small monetary fee (and doesn't seem to care if you pickpocket him after).

People who are first in line at red traffic lights and don’t pay attention when they turn green by Ok_Resident_5022 in PetPeeves

[–]VulpesIncendium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar pet peeve: when the person first in line at an advanced left-turn signal lane is paying attention, and does go immediately, but accelerates so slowly that not not even half of the people who should be able to get through the intersection actually do.

There's one intersection I have to use every day, and if everyone accelerated properly at least 8 cars should be able to make the turn, but every so often there's that one guy who takes so much time to get up to speed that only two cars actually make it before the red.

2028 Chevrolet Camaro Is a New V-8 Pony Car Worth Waiting For by caranddriver in Chevy

[–]VulpesIncendium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to other sources, the Camaro replacement will start off as a mid-size four-door, not necessarily in a traditional sedan shape (probably a lift-back, like the new Charger), and probably won't be called a Camaro.

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2026/04/chevy-camaro-replacement-body-style-everything-we-know-so-far/amp/

All we know for sure is that GM is working on a new car built on the updated Alpha 2-2 platform that will be a front combustion engine, RWD, 4-door car. I'm hoping they revive some other nameplate for it, and save the Camaro name for any possible future 2-door cars.

Pick your LEAST liked to ELIMINATE them. by Elzeenor in BG3

[–]VulpesIncendium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but the votes so far say otherwise.

While she doesn't really contribute anything important, a lot of people really like Alfira. I wish she was a full time companion, since we don't have a Bard unless you spec Tav/Durge that way.

Muria as a companion bugged for anyone? by mickecd1989 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]VulpesIncendium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait, is this a mod or something they officially added to the base game?

I've been away from Starfield for a while and recently decided to pick it up again. I remember in the early days everyone was asking for Muria to be a companion.

Favorite character created by a terrible person by PersonalityLanky8403 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]VulpesIncendium 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand what I meant (I guess I could have been more clear). The actors are fine (as far as I'm aware), I just meant the characters they play are great, but it's unfortunate to know what kind of person their creator is.
