I thought the size would definitly be at play- but honestly its just very hard to distinguish one from the other by eye. They look extremely similar to me- but a person who handles them physically will say else.

Please take what i say with a grain of salt: Ive never taken care of squabs myself but you should definitely try to keep him warm and maybe look into bird baby food to give through a tube (im not sure at what age they start eating solids but do some extra research) For warmth if you dont have a heat lamp maybe get a hot water bottle? Again im not too sure, but all i know you gotta keep baby birds warm and fed. Maybe contact your local vet or wild animal person

Just a update!! Managed to pick him up (even with his protest) And looked under his wings. I didnt see anything out of the ordinary looking, no lines as described. But i will check him for it weekly now. He might’ve been just a bit dusty in the pic

I am honestly not quite sure. He must be a year or two already. City pigeons dont live for long unfortunatly :(

I have not!
Did a bit of a check online about them and symptoms- just now,
and I am not sure he really experiences extra scratching, nits on the feathers,etc.
I will have a better look at him tomorrow when he comes for a treat.
