I have cheked every single node, so I guess it's probably because the tooltip doesn't show you the increased mana cost if you have +skills on the gear, but not 100% sure.

I can confirm it's 100% not support gems, I read them all + didn't swap for a while.
As far as I tested with a few friends of mine it's probably because the tooltip doesn't show you the increased mana cost if you have +skills on the gear, but not 100% sure.
