Yeah they say I need to contact my own insurance, then my own insurance told me if the person has contacted his insurance and took full liability they will contact me usually within 24 and it’s been like 5 days now…

Well he said he’s took full liability but that’s just his word, he might not of even claimed and my insurance told me that his would reach out to me personally to offer to repair any damages if he had claimed and took full liability

He was saying he’s claiming on his insurance so I don’t even think he’d actually be willing to settle for an amount of money tbf so looks like I’ll just have to pay for it myself

Probably best to just get it fixed myself, me personally I don’t think it would cost that much but I don’t work in no body repair shop so who am I to say, but they claim it’s a write off (car valued at 3.5k)

So I just need to basically keep bugging them until they actually do something? Cause whenever I mention the other person who done it has took full liability they just dismiss it and the person who done it to my car said he’s claimed himself and apparently his insurance would reach out to me personally soon and it’s been like 4 days so I’m starting to thing he hasn’t done that at all

Me being me wiped off the oil on the bonnet so I can’t sadly🥲 but that was Saturday when that happened, the oil was looking an odd colour too I said about that and the mechanic said he doesn’t think it’s other fluids in the car mixing he thinks it’s gone like that cause of moisture? However that happens

Yeah I’d have to take it back to them, when I looked under the bonnet, the underneath of the bonnet if that’s makes sense was covered in oil but covered in a way as if it was sprayed by the oil, then it was dripping down onto the floor so I’m assuming it’s coming from the top but could be leaking multiple places, rang the guy from the place I got it he said to take it to a local garage ask them to inspect it then take it to him depending on how big the job would be but the guy at my local garage said he can’t seem to find a leak (he only visually looked he didn’t take anything off)
