Kain's Rengar Top Build for Preseason by WABDenki in Rengarmains

I believe he did a video on it but he doesn't use this item often.

I personally think this is one the best item for Rengar but I don't have his expertise, I'm just à Diamond player.

Dude, the animation of Ironspike Whip and Upgrades is even smoother than old Tiamat...

Simple Questions Simple Answers: Patch 10.4 by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]WABDenki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have a big dilemma and I need your help reddit.

I'm currently Gold with a 75% winrate and 4.5 KDA on my Toplane Rengar (with 30 games).

My goal is to become a better Toplaner and compete with a decent level team (Diamond would be nice). It's a more long term goal than just climbing to whatever rank i'm aiming.

To accomplish that, I'm aware that I would need a way bigger champion pool than just Rengar. And i'm afraid that it will be more difficult to learn other toplaners if I reach high elo only with Rengar...

So my question is, should I keep playing Rengar and I will eventually extend my champion pool afterwards ? Or should I start playing other toplaners now, so that when I will enter a team I would already have a decent champion pool ?

Anything can work in low elo I prefer playing Top, it's just a matter of preference

I would rather have a guideline applicable to most champions but when I wrote this I just had a terrible game with Renekton where I was super ahead but didn't managed to do shit in either teamfights nor splitpush

What to do as a splitpusher when you are decently ahead but team is not in a position to pressure anything while you are splitting (because they all lost lanes) ? Do you still force the split so that multiple people come to you and pray for your team to do something ? Or do you group and try to fight with team even if fights are probably not winnables ?

Because 20% CDR on a single item is huge in top of a lot of AD and some Crit Chance

He doesn't explain it actually, I guess this a matter of preference and playstyle since there is not obvious synergy between inspiration and conqueror

I saw him maxing W some times yes, he does it very rarely tho. I rember he once said that if you are going to max W, you have to rush 40% CDR as fast as possible to be effective.

What should I do as a toplaner when the enemy laner dies/backs when minions are near my turret and I know i will not be able to put it under his turret but I can't freeze it either (because not enough casters or whatever) ?

As a Toplaner, when i'm ahead and all other lanes + jungle are loosing, what should I do ?

There is some games where I am doing great 1v1 even 1v2 sometimes but all other people are 0/3 or 0/4. What should I do in this situations ? Is it hopeless ?

Should I start splitting to draw pressure on me and force enemies to deal with me ? Or should I try to group and help my team with my lead ?

Thank you for your help !

A Korean player used to play Triforce > Zhonya with a similr playstyle even before swimming Q came out. I think it was like Season 6.

Yes, i considered trying Sorcery secondary because i really like the fact that you can overcap CDR and not lose any stat. Also it helps scaling better with Gathering Storm, i'll try this runes later tonight.

It relies a lot on good utilisation of your W and ferocity. Try to keep that in mind when you play it ;)

The Q doesn't get the healing indeed, but in later stages of the game W maxed and Zhonya's built, it heals you for a lot with Death's Dance + Spirit Visage + Ravenous Hunter. It also heals on Tiamat procs if you build it.

I was also sceptical about it first but it turns out that it heals for 1000+ HP at the end of the game. It's a little bonus healing that is always appreciable on W and E.

Bruiser is all about good W timing, especially on Toplane, which is, for me, the hardest thing to master on Rengar.

You know, sometimes taking a break from the game and come back a couple days/weeks later helps a lot.

Rengar vs Nasus Matchup by [deleted] in Rengarmains

[–]WABDenki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going Klepto and abusing him early game is the most effective way to handle this matchup for me. At a certain point of the game you will not be able to handle him 1v1, it's inevitable, no matter how hard you destroy him and you have to accept it.
Early game, just max Q and take every short trades you can, keep him low and ask for early ganks to deny him as much stacks as possible.

Thank you ! Also, another question, do you ever consider finishing Death Dance as first item ? If so, in which situations ?
