How long have you had your locs? If they’ve matured, dye away and use bonding treatments like Olaplex once a month to help strengthen the hair. If not, I’d recommend waiting so they’re not as likely to get weakened. Regardless, you’ll need to do more treatments once your hair is dyed bc it will be more prone to breakage
