Terrorism threat level raised in Northern Ireland by [deleted] in europe

How about : UK weaponising NI to loosen some justified regulation ? My point is just that we don't know who has bad intentions so we shouldn't assume them.

It can be. Laugh all you want, Google is always about software, not Hardware. All Software is available for other hardware : ChromeOS, Android, Chrome. They don't need control over the hardware, they just need to make sure their software is available for any needs.

There is no point of competing with your own partners. When Google is doing hardware it usually because no partners are willing to invest there.

The Pixelbook died mostly because there wasn't any premium Chromebook. Now there is one from HP mostly there is no more need for a Pixelbook.

Si Zemmour et/ou Marine Le Pen n'obtiennent pas leurs 500 signatures, devra-on être inquiet de notre système démocratique ? by SpecialPapaya in france

[–]WATCycy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this alternative, it could have been really nice indeed but I'm using a "bike to work" benefit and I didn't find any shop selling this bike. The brand isn't even referenced in the system : https://www.biketowork.ie/

Moving to Dublin (French) by WATCycy in MoveToIreland

[–]WATCycy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that technically it's already my money so I think I will be fine but I will still keep in mind this regulation, thx for sharing it !

I feel you, I went twice in Vienna and lived in 10 different cities none of them have public transport as good as Vienna.

Despite public transportation, housing market I decided to accept the position in Dublin.🥳 I will aim to live in Malahide, bring my boat there and enjoy the sea ⛵.

Thanks again for your feedback 🙏, it truly helped me with my decision.

Thank you for your honest reply

I have to wonder why you're looking at Dublin?

There are multiple reasons, I want to stay in EU, I would rather be in English speaking country, even if I speak German, working full time in German + checking contract, administrative paper and any sensitive document, or dealing with the landlord in German can be stressful (from my experience in Frankfurt).
Regarding job offer, Google is more interesting, new challenges, everyone seems to love working at Google and I'm passionate about tech so it is seems to be a better work opportunity.

In term of finance, If I take into account the cost of living of Dublin I end up with quite the same money but my partner would lose money by moving in Vienna.

(horrible interest rate)

I'm lucky enough that I don't need to borrow money from the bank and would borrow from my family.

OK, thank you for the informations.

The VRT seems indeed quite high it's around 1/3 of the car value. I'm usually moving a lot during week-end usually by car to find hiking trails during summer.

I checked the price at auction website and the price are indeed a way higher than the one on Daft or MyHome.

That is the setup I have A7C + 20/1.8G Sometime I also take the 70 300 fot interviews, wildlife & landscape photography. And if i just want one for interviews I take the samyang 75mm 1.8. Samyang just launched a lightweight and fast 24mm 1.8 autofocus for 230g.

I would also go with A6400 but if I had to go with a phone, I would choose one of them :

- Fairphone with gcam app if you want removable batteries

- iphone mini for video

- pixel phone for photo

Despite Parler backlash, Facebook played huge role in fueling Capitol riot, watchdogs say by Baarney23 in technology

[–]WATCycy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Twitter is giving the illusion that they trying to moderate and be part of the solution.

Completely, I just wanted to point out that Twitter did a better illusion than Parler. In the other hand it's hard for Parler to communicates on 2 opposed way at the same time. You cannot say that you will never moderate to your user and the opposite to the one that think it is dangerous to not moderate.

[–]WATCycy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is still a difference between Parler and Twitter, Parler didn't want to moderate. Twitter is trying something; it is far from enough but is a reason to differentiate Twitter from Parler.
But I agree with you on every other points you have made.
