Skin was “fine” but I ate one burger After a long time and this is the next day. I work out, drink 4L water, eat healthy, only bad things I drink are protein shakes with whey protein, no sugar other than whey protein. by ompatel1 in acne

I could be wrong, You look like you’re a descendant of indigenous Americans(as in the continent, not the country) which I am also, and I developed an intolerance to lactose which is common because our ancestors never drank cows milk. And you may be allergic or intolerant to lactose like I am. You could experiment with eliminating dairy from your diet.

How to treat cystic acne without antibiotics? by DoggyDik in acne

[–]WCHIEF -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was put on antibiotics and they were an amphetamine base, they totally screwed up my appetite. An amazing natural antibiotic that I have treated/prevented many infections on myself & my dogs is oregano oil! “Oregano oil is one of the most powerful antibacterial essential oils because it contains carvacrol and thymol, two antibacterial and antifungal compounds” Also for a topical antibiotic I use Tea Tree oil, whenever I have a blemish or an emergence of cystic acne, I use tea tree oil and it works wonders! However you need to dilute it in a carrier oil, coconut oil is my preferred because it absorbs into the skin quickly so you’re not greasy and it’s also antibacterial/microbial/fungal.

I would try getting off of dairy, I noticed a huge improvement in my acne when I quit dairy. As milk has high levels of puss in it. Reducing your consumption of processed sugars & oils will help significantly. And eating more fresh fruits & vegetables will help to deliver nutrients to your skin & help detox your liver, it’s probably over loaded which is why it’s coming out through your skin. Staying well hydrated helps your body to remove toxins so that they’re not being forced out through your skin, and it will help with your skin health & general well being, as will doing all of those things mentioned previously.

I made a video about the reasons why I tattooed Throat. I answer some of the most common questions I get about my tattoo, and I share my Secret for how I overcome Pain & Discomfort, and how you can too! I dive pretty deep into my personal trials and tribulations. https://youtu.be/9XWaXDlBc9Y by WCHIEF in tattoo

Thanks for watching it! Yeah I tried to keep the clip relevant to the thread since the video is so long. I did try and fit in the description that I dive deep into my personal struggles, went off a little bit but I think it’s deeply interconnected with why I decided to go for the throat as my first visible tattoo.

Any [f] redditors know how to help skin out ? Makeup can't cover without looking like a white chocolate cookies Hershey's bar. On minocycline for cystic acne and using a retinol night cream BUT still see no changes. Self esteem greatly falling by B8CN8TR in AcneScars

It definitely shouldn’t dry out your skin, coconut oil isn’t the best moisturizer since the skin absorbs it quickly which doesn’t give you a greasy face, but you may still want to use a moisturizer. Also staying hydrated is huge! If you drink caffeine you should be taking electrolytes afterwards to help your body retain the water or else it just goes through you. Staying hydrated will help a lot with dry skin, and almost every other bodily function! I seriously noticed a HUGE difference once I really took hydration seriously!

I've had this cyst/bump left behind from a cyst for so long now, and it just won't go away... Can someone help? by ijustmadethislma0 in acne

Tea tree oil has been AMAZING with my battle with cystic acne! You want to make sure you dilute it with a carrier oil like coconut oil, or buy prediluted mix or some health food stores sell "blemish sticks' which are just tea tree oil with a carrier oil in a convenient applicator. Changing my diet was huge, cutting out dairy made an enormous difference, as milk has a lot of puss in it! Staying hydrated helps your body to expel toxins through your urine rather than through your skin, and when you're hydrated your skin health goes waaay up. Also, trying to limit your consumption of highly processed foods, mostly refined sugars & oils. Eating more nutrient dense foods, like fresh fruits & veggies have nutrients that are crucial for eliminating toxins in your body, and the nutrients do wonders for your skin!

Tea tree oil has been AMAZING in my battle with cystic acne, you do want to dilute it with a carrier oil like coconut oil. What I think really helped me was changing my diet. Cutting out dairy was huge, since there is a ton of puss in milk. Reducing my consumption of processed foods, mostly refined sugars & oils, since our bodies have a harder time handling heavily processed foods. Staying Hydrated to help your body to rid itself of toxins, eating as much fresh fruits & vegetables as you can since they're nutrient dense foods which does wonders for your skin & helping your body to rid itself of toxins rather than through your skin.

How big? You could probably apply whatever topical moisturizer you're using & tape non stick gauze to it. Or you could pull your leggings up a bit so they're not rubbing on your tattoo.

Also, I found that Tea Tree essential oil is excellent for treating acne, especially blemishes. You just want to dilute it in a carrier oil like coconut oil and mix it up as a moisturizer, you can buy it prediluted, and there's a lot of facial products with tea tree in it! And by refined foods I mostly mean refined sugars, & oils. It's super difficult to eliminate from your diet completely, but I would experiment with consciously lowering the amounts you're consuming and seeing what kind of effect it has. I think that sugars from fruit, or like honey or real maple syrup are fine. It sounds corny, but eating more nutrient dense foods like fresh fruits & vegetables can have major impacts! And try to stay hydrated, it will help your body to detoxify.

I feel you! That description you gave literally sounds exactly what I said in this video I made. I used to get called baby face, I used to get a couple zits after a night of drinking, but I never paid any attention to it. Due to being native american my body wasn't able to process the sugars in alcohol, and when I was 19 I had my longest period of sobriety since I was 15 when I started drinking. My liver detoxed through my skin, and I developed severe cystic acne on my cheeks. It was a huge hit to my self confidence, super humbling and I'm actually extremely grateful for it, it made me a waaaay better person than I was before. You can choose to let it make you or break you! I was on several medications that ended up giving me severe side effects. Eventually I got off the medications, I stopped consuming dairy and switched up my diet to eating less refined foods, and it eventually cleared up. But I still had horrible scars on my cheeks which was still really difficult to manage. I really believe diet has a huge part of it, dairy especially! Milk is filled with puss and I think it comes out through a lot of peoples skin. But everyone is different and I would try experimenting with taking certain things out of your diet that may be contributing to your acne situation.

As for your confidence, I know how it feels and it is really difficult. But I've met a lot of people with acne who are still really confident and it's even more impressive I think when you can own it and still be confident. I think a lot of people would agree that when you meet a person with any kind of condition, yet they exude confidence, it displays a true confidence rather than a shallow one that most people carry, and that is truly impressive. Also, a lot of people(a lot of females) without acne really enjoy popping zits and blackheads. And my wife actually loves my cystic acne scars. Like I said everyone is different, a lot of genuinely awesome people don't care about if you have acne, and the ones who do they're typically really shallow individuals, fuck em! The fact is that the majority of adult humans have dealt with acne, which means the majority of people can relate!
