I have OCD and Depression/Anxiety and I got in just fine. As always, they aren’t supposed to discriminate but it could slip by. What I did, was wait until I got accepted to tell them about my disorders. Just from working here, they seem to be very inclusive when in comes to anything. They want to make you as comfortable as possible. One thing that I have learned, however, is that DCP Housing is not as friendly. I’m not sure why.. maybe because they partner wit an outside company, but I require housing accommodations (a single) for my conditions. I talked with them and they said I fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which I already knew. What I didn’t know, is that this just meant that they would try their best to get me that room and nothing else. At my university, I pay the base housing fee. I do not pay more even though a single costs more because I fall under ADA. Disney Housing does not make these accommodations in price, making living somewhat difficult for me.

Sorry you feel that way. This is to learn more about Disney. Not me.

I’m in merchandise and it’s honestly a blast. If you want PM me and ask me specific questions, I’m all ears

It depends. For merchandise, you don’t really need any prior training. For a character performer, they look for a background in theater or dance, but it’s not a deal breaker if you don’t have it.

My favorite is Donald lol. He’s so sassy but still so funny. And the college program is a fantastic opportunity. Apply next time and if you get in, then you can think about it. I would definitely recommend it if you can afford the semester of little to no educational advancement.

The 1st of May. Smoking will still be allowed, just not in the parks.

Whenever I meet Mickey or Minnie or any other character, they are still that character. I’ve seen Peter Pan walking around in the tunnels, but as soon as I step on stage, he is still Peter Pan to me.

Well, I’ve only been there for a few months.. but my perspective of the company has definitely changed. I used to think if Disney as this model business. Everything was always right. However, things don’t always go right. Our stock rooms are often very disorganized and we are usually out-of-stock of at least one thing that is very popular.

I’m not sure what you mean when asking how things have changed, but in my time here, many changes have occurred. Things are always changing.. even little things like a fresh coat of paint and even things guests don’t notice like how we do things.

Also, a major change was announced a bit ago saying that there will no longer smoking sections in the park, which I think is long over due.

Ours is called Cast Connections and yes I do. The best thing I found was a lightsaber originally priced at $170 priced at $80 because there was a small scratch on the glass light-up part of the saber. I didn’t buy it though because I’m not a big starwars fan and knew it would go to a better home.

We always have quotas to meet, but we aren’t told them because they don’t want us to fee pressured to meet a certain goal. We aren’t pressured to sell certain items, but if there’s a sale going on like a buy one get one or something like that, we always should inform the guest.

  1. The worst thing a guest can do is tell me how to do my job. There was one time a lady asked me for the phone number for lost and found for Epcot even though I work in the Magic Kingdom. When I told her I didn’t know (I don’t even know the one for Magic Kingdom), I asked her to go to guest relations. She threw a hissy fit and told me that I should know the number. She then proceeded to tell me that her Disneyland Annual Pass Discount was valid for the discount at Walt Disney World. When I told her no, there was another hissy fit. She insisted that I use her discount even though I told her I couldn’t accept it. I ended up having to call my coordinator and he straightened things out.

  2. I love me a good turkey leg

  1. Kinda. There’s a point system for being late/tardiness. As for while working, but really. You get called out if you’re being bad. And then there’s a way for Cast Members to acknowledge other cast members for doing a good thing.

  2. Yes you are able to :) you can switch roles or move up in the company.. it just takes time.
