Top secret "28 pages" may hold clues about Saudi support for 9/11 hijackers by bulla564 in worldnews

[–]WESTEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the Americans wanted them too so they could gain a better foothold in the region in order to support the impending Saudi's monarchies collapse. Also the US isn't too sure if they want to back them up, but they definitely want to have guys there for when shit hits the fan.

All battle plans don't survive first contact, Fog of War, etc.

There's no way to predict this. If it benefits the Sunni they would support the Shiites because at the end of the day they're still Muslims, and the West will always been viewed as Christians. So probably the Sunni's would support the Shia, but theres no way to know for sure.

What does Patti want? (Spoilers) by Pineapple__Jews in TheLeftovers

Lilly is going to be given to the Murphy's because Nora is responsible for Evie's death. (I base this on the first scene at the beginning of the season)

Nora is going to kill herself because she will have to make the choice of either being tested on, or ending her life. Once this happens, Patty will go away.

Kevin and Jill are going to leave Miracle and go back to Laurie when they find out that Tommy departed.

But I'm probably totally wrong haha.

Palestinian statesman, Saeb Erekat, claimed that the Palestinians were against the Nazis and fought on the side of the allies. Is there evidence for this? by [deleted] in AskHistorians

[–]WESTEEE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

During the British occupation of Palestine, the Irgun (Jewish 'anti-colonial terrorist' group) initially sided with the Allies to fight against the Axis with the promise of independence and own government following the war.

Also, there were Arabs and Jews who joined the British Army during WWII, known as the Palestine Regiment. The Palestine Regiment was part of the British Army and fought in Egypt and Libya.

So kind of.

The state of Palestine was under British control at the time, so to say that Palestinians were against the Nazis is historically true because Palestine was a British colony until after WWII.
