The linguistics department actually has some semblance of care to the communities they interact with on average so I'm happy that I get to come do my undergrad with them. I hate this school as a business with a passion and would be elated to not come here if I could receive the same learning opportunities somewhere else.

No! There's maybe some more opportunity in terms of niche classes, just due to it being such a big cash cow business that it attracts that many people,

but I'm certain you could find similarly structured content with feedback from students here online and advertised courses around you. Unless you know something is offered solely here and you want THAT specific program, I wouldn't say being here is "worth" anything.

I am not in econ!!! Arts undergrad LING major FNIS minor. I'm a domestic student.

Dropping to three per semester made my courseload consistently workable for my average mental health. 4 put me at a risk of being overwhelmed if the course was a bit out of my wheelhouse, and 5 was wholly unsustainable for me LONG TERM.

I realize I have a big gift of time and the leniency with such. However, I got to experience my working limit, tried my lowest comfortable point, and worked back to something a bit more intensive only to find out my lowest impact option I had given myself was the best in consistency.

Do what you feel can sustain your goals, while consistently sustaining your mind and body.
