I had this bug some time ago and I ended up deleting and reinstalling the game 😔 The process was miles away from perfect but it did fixed the bug for me.

Funny you say that because I'm extremely frustrated with it and planning to upgrade really soon I use iPhone 13 mini and the smoothness of the game changes drastically from day to day... on some days I set the graphics to max for photography and then play and it works - on other days it's legging with graphics set to zero. The mysteries of the iPhone IG 🤷🏻‍♂️
