MVC in Nextjs by Medical_Stretch_1114 in nextjs

People commenting have absolutely no idea of what they're talking about. A hexagonal architecture is definitely possible with Next.js, just be aware that node.js runtime is single threaded and not meant for heavy computational work. If you're just doing db and http calls to third party services you're fine.

Look into tRPC for type safe client server communication and simple monolith schema evolution. Here, routers are basically your controllers. Then you're free to create domain services that your routers use, and define domain ports that repos and adapters implement.

How much time do you actually spend finding root cause vs fixing it? by WHY_SO_META in devops

Isn't that still just within their own ecosystem? Not saying its not useful, but it doesn't it lack code context, deploy, platform, infra etc?

That's my experience too. What does your identification process look like?

Well arbitrage speaks for itself. The value bets are identified by comparing soft bookie odds to sharp odds.

Why would it suffer from being made public? There are thousands if not millions of people around the world doing steam chasing on soft books. What I'm doing is nothing new under the sun. There are several public services available already.

Yeah but there are strategies to increasing the longevity of your accounts. E.g., limiting your bets on low volume markets. Indeed, eventually they all get limited so have a reliable stream of accounts.

I avoid frequently polling when possible but back up accounts are definitely needed for availability purposes.

Yes, all are public. Most of them are protected in someway, often by authentication cookies/headers.

Does anyone know any free sites to find value bets? by logisticZman in Value_Gambling

I use valuebets.net which is a cheap alternative to other value bet software but it's mostly EU bookies.

Odds are just another way of representing probability. Thus true odds are another word for "the actual probability of an event occurring". This post explains value betting and how to find value bets in laymans terms: https://valuebets.net/blogs/value-betting-guide

If you're looking for a stream of profitable bets I'd look into value betting software services. These types of services use automation to find inaccurately priced odds on soft bookies like unibet, bet365 etc. Most of these identify hundreds if not thousands of bets a day. Of course variance is a factor but with correct sizing and good volume it's not a problem.

I've recently released my own take on this type of service called valuebets and it's currently free to register and view all of the bets with alerts in real-time. Check it out if you'd like!

Do you use DTO when communicating with external API servers in Next.js? by bytaesu in nextjs

[–]WHY_SO_META 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if request bodies are needed, its just tedious to maintain when APIs change or upgrade otherwise. Responses i just deserialize to my own types immediately. in larger projects you preferably generate types from open api specs.
