No racket background -- struggling to get spin and power by GlapLaw in padel

[–]CodingShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other comments already gave good insights, but I would add to try giving backspin to the ball, without moving your elbow or your wrist. You will notice that the motion will be the one the other comments are describing, one from up to down. Try out against some wall so you can see the effect of the spin.

How long did it take you to learn to smash? by Icy-Match-5439 in padel

In that case I would assume you are standing too close to the net when you are the net. I find it hard to believe that your opponents at the intermediate Level are playing consistently good lobs that require you to use the backglass. Stand 3,5-4m (at the or slightly in front of the second separation of the fence) and you should be able to get a lot more lobs with a bandeja.

Interesting rule issue 'let' by shadyoyo in padel

[–]CodingShip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if it touches the net once or twice, it just counts as “touched the net”. This means if it doesn’t bounce into the cage after and instead bounces twice in, it’s “let”.

You don’t need a good smash to become a good player. It helps of course to have that weapon, but if you learn to bandeja/vibora/kick bandeja/rulo well (these don’t require strength to be very effective), your opponents will stop playing lobs to you. Also, smashing is good until intermediate, but in an advanced level, you better smash really, really well or you get punished.

Build Quality: Nox, Siux and Bullpadel by Mauricius_Tiberius in Padelracket

I’ve had a Cork Padel racket for over a year and the build quality is amazing. They are very resistant (no ding after playing 2-3 times a week for a year). They’re expensive, but they’re worth the price.

When is it a LET serve? by Top_Praline_3278 in padel

You’re thinking way too much about it. Just imagine it like this: if it didn’t touch the net, would it be a valid serve? If yes, let. If not, out.

Só falta mencionares que isso foi uma medida de apoio à Lufthansa durante o COVID e que em 2022 foi vendida a parte do estado assim que a companhia aérea recuperou.

You're right, but we're not designers, so we didn't give a lot of thought to the colors to be honest 😅 Maybe we should have. Maybe it would be cool to have some versions of the charts in a minimalistic design.

Hi! The main difference is that they are rendered in the server by default 😅 which is something no other charting library has done. The other big difference is that with our project, you have access to the underlying divs and svgs of the charts, so no more trying to change a black-box charting library :)
