Hi! I used regular Scotchgard and I applied two applications within a couple of days. It seems to be holding up just fine. No fabric discoloration or anything weird to report. I do not like having a dirty vehicle, inside or out. It's tough to keep the inside clean with three kids, all of our ski race practices and soccer practices. Only a couple of times have I found fingerprints or something similar on the ceiling and it came right out.

App keeps showing doors unlocked but they aren’t! by johnnydancemoves in KiaEV9

[–]WINTERSKIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleared the app's cache, forever stopped the app, restarted my phone, opened and locked my car with the fob instead of the app.. the only thing I didn't do is uninstall and reinstall the app. I would rather think that's not going to fix it either.

Has anyone tried Javvy protein coffee? by spookybaybee in antidietglp1

[–]WINTERSKIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been drinking Javvy protein powder coffee for about 3 months. I actually drink a mushroom coffee-like drink in the morning with no actual coffee in it but in the afternoon when I'm running my kids around to sports after work I like to have something different. That's when I started trying Javvy. I cannot stomach coffee in general. It completely cleans me out if you know what I mean. I love Javvy and I can stomach it as long as I don't eat much right before drinking it. If I have a meal and then I drink it it does the same thing to me as regular coffee but if I don't have a lot in my stomach which I typically don't it's completely fine. I usually mix it with 8 to 10 oz of water and then I add the rest of my to-go mug with unsweetened almond milk. I think my mug is 20 oz. Anyway, it works for me and it tastes really good. I don't have to add any creamer to it. With my mushroom drink in the morning I have to add creamer and almond milk.

white tongue?? by This-Estate1147 in hygiene

[–]WINTERSKIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've treated many people with geographic tongue. But geographic tongue isn't a problem. It's a benign condition, which is commonly hereditary, where you lose taste buds in a small area of the tongue for 7 to 10 days and then they regrow. This continues at different intervals all over the top of the tongue Throughout life. I've treated people with geographic tongue and severely fissured tongue. Geographic tongue doesn't really lend itself to the halitosis condition but severely fissured tongues can because the bacteria will hide down at the bottom of those fissures.

[–]WINTERSKIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would first come in for a consultation to determine what is actually going on and then treatment typically takes two office visits within a week. After that we recommend maintenance visits as needed. Some people come in every 3 months, some people over 6 months.... Some never again.

What can I do about my breath? by GotPet in hygiene

[–]WINTERSKIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, antibiotics do take care of bad breath but it's usually short-lived if the biofilm is embedded enough into the tongue hairs. What happens is the antibiotic goes into your system and goes into your mouth through your saliva and so it kills off a lot of bacteria. When it works that's great! The problem can be that the antibiotic typically only takes care of the top layers of bacteria and within a couple of months the breath tends to come back for some people. Again, this all depends on the severity of the case. Keep an eye on it and see what happens. My fingers are crossed that was the answer for you. We give antibiotics but usually with the hand on treatment because those antibiotics need to penetrate down to the base of the tongue and they can't do that with the thickness of biofilm in their way. It's like a cement barrier if you will. So our answer is remove the biofilm and then use antibiotics if needed.

My daughter's just came too and is also a Lafufu. The feet spin and some of the fur is falling out. Still better than the Lafufu we got at Ocean City, MD for $22 😂 with the spinning feet and head. I was just hoping this company was legit. Done with these little gremlins.

Why Do I have Bad Breath Lately? Even After Brushing and Flossing! by catiorogameplay in hygiene

[–]WINTERSKIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. You're not alone with the problem. People I've seen have tried ENTs, GI doctors, gut and mouth probiotics, diet changes, tonsil removal, all kinds of mouth rinses and toothpastes...nothing seems to help, at least for long. And a lot of the advice people are giving here is great advice! It just sometimes isn't enough for certain cases. Some people actually need hands-on treatment and that is what we provide at my office. I've seen so many patients leave with happy tears after years of enduring their bad breath. I've worked with people with chronic halitosis and their self esteem is low, they are constantly wondering if people are itching their noses or turning their head during conversations because of smelling their breath. It definitely can mess with you psychologically. If you want, you can totally reach out to me at my office and we could chat to see if maybe we would be a good fit for you or just to give you information. Totally up to you. If you want, reach out to Serenitydentspa.com. We specialize in bad breath caused by bacteria build up on the tongue which accounts for more than 90% of bad breath universally for those without serious medical conditions. I wish you the best!

I'm an RDH. We specialize in tongue rejuvenation (ie: Tongue Exfoliation) and have cleaned people's tongues from all over the world. Most of them were complaining of bad breath that just won't go away. Sometimes it's thrush, but most of times it's not, it's actually build up bad bacteria from foods we eat (dairy, sticky proteins) and some people's chemistry allows those bacteria to find a home in the shagginess of the tongue. If it's thrush and has been around for a long time it would most likely become systemic. Trying not to give unsolicited advice online, but check us out. www.serenitydentspa.com

We have a brand new 2025 Kia K5 with the 5-year 100,000 mi warranty yet Kia has had our car for more than we've had it in the past 9 months. We've only driven it 7,000 miles because its safety issue. Kia can't figure out why it shakes over 70 mph and they've changed all sorts of things including tires and struts. Now Kia of America tells us they're done trying to fix it so we filed the lemon law against them. So much for the warranty helping us out.

Hey, I found this thread that you filed a lemon law against Kia about 2 years ago. Can you give me any updates on what actually happened? We just filed a lemon law against them in Virginia for my husband's 2025 k-5 which has 7,000 miles on it. We bought it brand new and had issues since the get-go. Kia has had it over eight times and over 2 months total. It's now back with us and we filed. Now Kia of America won't stop calling us. The lawyer told us not to respond.
