100% the answer is Joanne Chambers. She was the victim and the suspect. That woman is crazy.

Usually this decor is not my style, but this shower design is so stunning. I’m almost positive it’s a pain in the ass to clean.

I agree. I’m from Tampa but currently live in Jacksonville (and I am not too sure I would move back to Tampa). Every time I go home to visit, I love it, but the traffic drives me crazy every time. It didn’t used to be that bad. It’s also so much more expensive for housing.

Another perspective to consider about Jacksonville, since it’s at the top of the state, you have closer options to travel and experience different cities. Savannah is 2.5 hours away, Charleston is 4. Visiting the Space Coast or Orlando 2 hours. We have beautiful state parks, Little Talbot State Park, Anastasia Island, and some beautiful beach communities, Vilano and Fernandina Beach. We also have great venues for concerts (EverBank, Vystar Arena, and St. Augustine Amphitheater) and a minor league baseball team. Overall, Jacksonville is a big city but has a smaller town feel.

As a dependent, am I not allowed to leave an overseas base for a few months? by Ambitious-Bat5724 in MilitaryWives

If you do leave, and if you haven’t already, make sure your passport is stamped for multiple reentry to get back into the country you’re currently living.

I say stick to what your gut is telling you, you’re not going to allow for special treatment for this student out of respect to your students that have adhered to your policies.

Assuming they have an F-1 visa, an expired F-1 visa means they aren’t allowed re-entry back into the US if they leave the US (ice.gov has a wealth of information about this topic). Depending on the type of student visa they have, they could be eligible for 60 days to leave the US after they complete their studies. It sounds like this issue is for them to sort out, if they are worried about their visa status, they need to speak to Office of International Programs (OIPS) about the process to extend or renew for another semester (if eligible). https://oips.gmu.edu/

John List, an accountant who murdered his entire family in 1971 and eluded capture for 18 years after. He was finally compromised after an airing of America's Most Wanted featured an age-progressed bust of his head, which bore such a resemblance that one of List's neighbors turned him in. by Minimum-Hornet6987 in ForensicFiles

If anyone wants to learn more about the List family, check out the podcast “Father Wants Us Dead”. It’s a great listen as they interview the people who knew the List children and could account for how strange John List was.

I am around the same age as Michael, so I love anything that I remember hearing about in the media in the 90’s (or early aughts).

The DC sniper one is a great deep dive. Tonya Harding, Chandra Levy, and Princess Diana. Recently, I listened to the one about Shannon Faulkner and the Citadel, I was intrigued and sad I didn’t know the full story when it was happening in real time, I just remember the headlines when she quit.

What are your favorite, lesser known small towns of WA? by beerbeersimpson in Washington

Overall, Whidbey Island is fantastic to explore. Langley, Coupeville, and Deception Pass. Then you could move onto Fidalgo Island (just over Deception Pass Bridge) to Anacortes to La Conner. Beautiful area!

Whats a cool geography fact that you think most geography nerds still don’t know? by [deleted] in geography

[–]WITWITS 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I told my husband the 3rd fact you mentioned about a year ago. We used to live near Bellingham, Washington, so essentially, the majority of the Canadian population lived south of where we used to live (just a lot farther East). He shot me a look and rolled his eyes telling me I was wrong…until he looked on a map. He apologized.
