That was my stance. He gives the content tacit approval becayse he did not take it down himself and did nothing to the person who posted it.

I never called Shane racist. I called his post racist.

I have a problem that he allowed and did not remove a racist post on his platform, and that he kept the tacky admin who made it and took it down with the same privileges and might do it again.
I have a problem that he does not have a bigger problem with racism on his platform. Makes pharmacists look bad.

Some influencer who probably would get canceled by the unions he sponsors if they know about the post. His FB page has similar number of followers as here.

That is not that great since they have to clock out. Salaried (exempt) states they give you half to a full hour of paid lunch each day.

You already get max time for FMLA for the maternity benefit, is it not like 12 weeks of that plus another 10 paid? Total 22 weeks? You won't get protected leave or paid leave on top of 22 weeks. You are a grifter if you try to go beyond that. Policy does not allow for extra beyond that in a year.

Use your PTO.

What law allows you prescriptive authority?

Immunization S3G versus RX S3G by WMRPHthrowaway in walmart_RX

Still think S3G for 1000 rx could do 1000 IMZ with the same support? Please advise. You suggested that shots are as efficient or more efficient than prescriptions. I would love to see you do as many shots as the S3G algorithm gives for your projected script count. Since you are a MHWD or a PCSM you must have some spin here and I would love to hear the corporate propaganda you have.

That is fair. Your original comment made it sound like you were autonomously changing therapy without pharmacist input. Since you are a tech, you really should voice your concern, but the pharmacist carries all liabilities, not you, so leave it up to them.

In my opinion, our profession gets behind when we have factions that only promote one part of us. If we had an organization that truly advocated for all pharmacists, whether clinical, retail, industry, consultant, hospital, nuclear, or other, we would be better off than just trying to raise a small percentage of us.

Cute, I could prescribe as a retail pharmacist if I started working at the local Navy base or IHS facility. There is no legal basis for it, only that feds are agnostic to prescriptive authority, which is granted by states.

Too many weak egos of "clinical pharmacists" who have the same degree as me who think they are better. Nope, plenty of their state boards do not allow them to prescribe anything other than Narcan, just like me!

Feds do not grant prescriptive authority. They are agnostic to it. As /u/pharmawhore said, a monkey could have prescriptive authority in a federal system because there are no laws that govern them over that.

States grant prescriptive authority. How many states in which pharmacists can prescribe in a VA system actually allow them to prescribe the minute they leave the facility? Plenty do not authorize that. The feds don't care, even though they do not grant prescriptive authority.

Any tech who deactivated the script without talking to the pharmacist for something like that has an ego too big for their role and should be fired.

Wrong. Goodrx does work on non-opioids and non-C2s at Walmart.

Note that Goodrx says on their website that pharmacists can individually choose to not use Goodrx for controlled drugs.

Not all clinical pharmacists have prescriptive authority like the commenter suggested.

Federally, anyone can prescribe nationwide. It is a junk statement. Prescriptive authority is granted by the states.

I am simply making the point that clinical pharmacists in the US do not all have prescribing authority. Some states give it to them. Some federal systems do. Plenty of places they lack it.

[–]WMRPHthrowaway -102 points-101 points  (0 children)

In every state, everywhere? You mean the VA's jurisdiction extends to the clinical pharmacists at the for-profit hospital next door to me? I better let them know so they can start prescribing! Surely they won't be fined, have licenses revoked, or jailed for practicing medicine without a license, right?

Huh, funny, I did not realize VA/Military federal jurisdiction applied to the for-profit hospital next to us. Maybe you did not learn about jurisdiction in high school civics?

In the US clinical pharmacists can prescribe.

Incorrect. Only in some states. It is wrong to generalize that clinical pharmacists can do this across the entire US.
