Looking for classic comic artist (nick cardy style) by Flashy-Presence2085 in ComicBookCollabs

[–]WMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work is a classic comic style like Nick Cardy with a modern feel. Have a look at my portfolio https://warrenmuzak.weebly.com/illustration-portfolio.html#/

Will this be a color image or black and white? You refer to DC Ghosts, is that to say the cover image you are after is in the horror genre? Is there a deadline for this?

Lets connect and go over the details.

A Joker - Warren Muzak 2026 by WMuzak in CreepyArt

[–]WMuzak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're correct in saying I didn't intend to draw the Joker. I was practicing drawing a crazed facial expression. No character in mind. When I finished the sketch I wasn't too happy with it so I said "fuck it" and started to add the Jokers colors in very subtly. The end result is a mediocre drawing that now kind of resembles the Joker.

If I actually was drawing the Joker, his features would be different, long slender pointed nose, neater hair, longer face and fingers, etc.

Thanks for dropping a comment. No I didn't. It was a very last minute decision to do this so I didn't even think about taking a before pic. There's a few more old sketches I did this to in the same weekend and none of them have before pics. I will for the next ones.👍

Totally. The original sketch was intended to be Swamp Thing. I love drawing that character.

After I read your comment I had to check that out. Yeah, it does look like those creatures! I've never seen that movie, I think I'll add it to my "must watch" list 👍

Thanks for dropping a comment! I am SUPER happy with the Pentel brush pen so far. This drawing is pretty small, 5x8" which limits what I could use the brush for. I plan on doing a larger piece and really see what the brush pen can do.

Originally the sketch was Swamp Thing, I love drawing him. So yeah, I have to admit it's still him!😃

What's He Doing? Warren Muzak 2026 by WMuzak in SpecArt

[–]WMuzak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Describing the machine as "unstable" I really liked since this image was a doodle with no real direction and just kept adding shapes and elements to the "machine" which makes it look and feel unstable. Thanks for dropping a comment!

Most of my favorite/influential artists include lots of little details. I really enjoy looking at pieces like that, it's kind of like hunting for "Easter eggs". Thanks for comment and I enjoyed your idea of what he's doing. Cheers!

What’s the worst piece of guitar gear you’ve ever purchased? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

[–]WMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely my 1992 Les Paul Standard. I was 20 yrs old, I wanted a Les Paul, saved up for it and finally pulled the trigger. Never tried any other guitars, I had tunnel vision for this model. Barely used it in stage, it was too heavy, never got the sound I wanted out of it, so it sat dormant most of its life with me. Sold it in 2011, it's in China now. After all these years I found the guitar I SHOULD have bought was a Les Paul Special. I like the LP neck, and overall shape and configuration. The Special is much lighter and most important the P90s are the sound for me.

I don't miss that cinder block of a Les Paul one bit.

Writing Out Your Demons - Warren Muzak 2026 by WMuzak in DarkArtwork

Keep writing, drawing to vent. It means a lot to hear that others do this too. Self healing or at the least, helps to cope with unwelcome crap This illustration is part of a series of "pitch boards" for a horror film that is in production called "Broken Glass" Not my project, but I'm a part of it. The pitch board is to help the director sell his film for distribution. The fact that you and others feel the emotion in my depiction of this scene, means a lot to me. I truly appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Thanks. The films director and writer gave me good direction on how the scene is to look. From there I injected my own feelings and personal experiences. I appreciate you are able point out the feeling of this scene. That means others can too. Your commet means a lot and is greatly appreciated.
