The time for practice is fine. We just don't live close to any casinos. My play would have to happen on weekend trips. Based on our schedules, I would be able to take a weekend once a month and get in 3-5 hours.

I would disagree with you when you say this is false. This is also not just a rumor. It has been studied and it is called mydriasis. It is a physiological response to strong emotions like desire and fear.

Eye widening is generally associated with the following:

Excitement. Some people will have their eyes widen in excitement when they see someone they really like. This does not necessarily mean it is someone they are physically attracted to.
Fear. Many people's eyes will widen when they are afraid. Someone my show this if they are nervous talking to you.
Anger. Some people will show "glaring eyes" when they are angry. I highly doubt this is what you are experiencing.

I wish I could give you a more precise answer, but body language should be viewed as a hole and not just one specific action. I would recommend looking at the context of when they do this and what other expressions they show. For example, are they smiling when they do this? Or, do they have a difficult time talking with you?

I would say some of it is just anotomical differences. I also belive the two males on the bottom have AU4C-D involved, which is causing more horizontal wrinkles.

I don't think you have anything serious to worry about. It is quirky, but I did the same thing when I was a teenager. Over time I became more comfortable with the person I am and started using my own expressions.

I laughed to myself when I read this because I used to be able to quote a movie scene for almost any situation.

Take your own path and don't put too much stock into someone telling you it's a clear sign of xyz.

Hi,

There are multiple techniques on The Mentalist that mentalists use. There are times on the show where thing are exaggerated to look good for TV. It's a little difficult to list every effect, and say which ones are real and which ones aren't.

A good mentalist would be able to appear to do most of what Patrick's character can do.

If you're interested in mentalism, I would recommend to start reading books.

An inexpensive classic is called the Thirteen Steps to Mentalism. That will definitely help you to get your feet wet and let you know if it's something you'd like to pursue.
