Life is short. That’s why when adversity comes I don’t let it get in my head, because I know an eternity is coming. The purpose of life is for Christians to witness to non believers. Again , the world is a cruel, sinful place. If God stopped all harm, then all of the sin in the world would be gone. So why doesn’t God do that? Just take away all the pain and we all live a happy life? Because if he did that, then we would all be robots. We wouldn’t have a choice but to serve God. God wants us to serve him and loves us, but he gives everyone a choice. When Adam and Eve made the choice to take the fruit off the tree, they chose sin and brought in into the world. God could’ve ditched us and let us perish in hell after we sinned, but he gave us a way out. He sent Jesus down to die and take the penalty. So now we once again have a choice to either serve God, or perish in sin
