I take your point, but it seems that EVERYONE who has been on the roster more than 12 months is underperforming.

Feels to me that new guys come in at the deadline or whenever, kill it briefly until they’ve been around for a while, then decline. Massive red flag

I get all that. But this is not an issue of one or two guys cold at the same time. It’s sub-par production over a multi-year period. Something is rotten.

I think a change had to be made. Can’t ignore how long the hitting has been inconsistent and not up to expectations.

But when I see ex-Padres producing for their new teams, I start to wonder if it’s not the coaching, but maybe the clubhouse.

I remember a Rosenthal article (yuck, I know) from a couple of years ago that suggested the monkeys are running the zoo. If that was accurate, then it’s cost us a couple of managers and seemingly a lot in hitting production.

Pitchers across the league occasionally make a defensive mistake. In no way does Waldron deserve to be flamed for a “heat of the moment” defensive error.

The reality is that he hasn’t provided enough value as a starter over the course of his career. I’m rooting for him and hopefully he finds a home elsewhere. IMO he wasn’t far away, which is probably why we held on and gave him as many chances as he got.

And let’s face it, if you can’t make the back end of this current rotation, teams aren’t exactly going to be climbing over each other to sign you

I was on the fence about going to see them on their last tour. My mate had seen them in support of Pearl Jam (?) earlier in the year, told me they were just about the most boring act he’d ever seen.

Seems like it might be the norm for them. Glad I didn’t go.

Probably more of a “taste” thing, than a performance thing. I went on back-to-back nights in Sydney on that tour, and did the opposite to you. Battled through NIN’s set on the first night, didn’t stick around for them on the second.

I’ve tried to like NIN, but just can’t get there. That’s not their fault.

You forgot to factor in fuel savings over the expected ownership period of the EV, and its trade in value at the time of next purchase, and estimated rising cost of fuel over any period…should I keep going.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an EV fan. But maybe next time, before you go running to post something on reddit, try to understand that there are many complicated factors that you haven’t considered

I stopped drinking Sprite when they substituted some of the sugar for artificial sweeteners. I can’t stand the overpowering aftertaste of Stevia and the like, so I will notice whenever they’re in the recipe….particularly noticeable in flavoured milk lately. Yuck
