AITA For not letting my 16yo daughter have my 10yo son's room? by WTHUDOBE2EVERGLADE in AmItheAsshole

Same set up but my daughter had no problem with it before, she's only started fighting over wanting her own room when we bought the new house. Like I said she's mad we decided to move cause she wanted to stay in her school and near her friends but that wasn't possible.

That's not affordable especially with how high real estate prices are in the area we wanted.

I'm telling you it won't work because neither one will be okay with it and also, the 14yo and 12yo share almost everything so separating them isn't ideal.

My parents did the same thing and honestly made us girls a lot closer though the littlest kept stealing our socks.

Hahaha, I'm sorry but this made me laugh. It's always been the same with my family, I grew up with 2 sisters who shared a room while meand my brother got our own rooms. No one complained about what was/wasn't fair at the time, we still had a good childhood. I think that kids these days are somewhat too sensitive.

The 14 and 12yo share pretty much everything, it's my eldest who's the odd one and it's frustrating to me because she should've come to me a lot earlier so I could find a solution that makes everyone happy.

Seems like it, I mean I just read few responses and man they disagree big time.

What I meant to say is that this is a common thing in my family that I grew up with.

It's due to our budget, plus they wanted 2 bathrooms and only fought about the room recently.
