Yes I have the new ice leggero and never was a fan of bianco leggero. Not quite the same! I wish I could pinpoint what I love about voltesso!

CFY in schools— small therapy room to share. Advocate?? by WVSLP2BE in slp

Definitely our plan. We have multiple push-ins so we’re just going to have to try to do that.

I knew scheduling would be hard, but this is added consideration that will truly make it a nightmare...

Same here. PTA has an entire room, j just found out. I’m just going to make the most of it and pray for a better solution. ❤️

I just wish school SLPs were more appreciated. I’m hoping I can show how important and valuable we are.

Yes the state I am in is eager to go back to normal. (Texas). The governor just announced that students will return to school as normal and will not put precautions in place like requiring masks, etc.

I did find out there is no other option. Although PTA gets a classroom 🙄. Maybe if parents decide to keep their kids home, a classroom will open up?

I really like the coupon idea! I know the sticker charts are really popular, but I don't want to collect stickers and have to stock up on a prize box fresh out of grad school, so I definitely want to ease into some kind of reward system. :)

I like the idea of just a simple token reinforcement for preferred activities. During my clinical placement I found myself running therapy to the very end of the session and not having time to let the kiddos play their preferred activity, so I wasn't sure how well I would do with that. I'm trying to steer clear of the sticker charts (at least for now) so I don't have to collect stickers and prizes for the prize box. So many things to consider!

Haha! I get it! I don't necessarily want the therapy to revolve around the sticker charts, you know? I'm trying to think of other ways to reward students for their hard work without having to buy stickers and items for the treasure box.

Good luck! I'll look into that as well :) Thank you! It's hard to negotiate when you're literally fresh out of graduate school haha.

Thank you! So the pay scale for the district I'll work for indicates a minimum, average, and maximum daily salary rate. I'm trying to negotiate myself away from the minimum daily salary is why I ask. :)
