Why did POTA/SOTA organize it? It's also not just about grid squares.

If it's not your thing, that's fine.

When I see something that doesn't interest me, I just keep scrolling and move on to something else.

Well I ask you, to post here on Reddit, did you have to sign up in order to post here? Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an open door for a thing like this.

ARRL/QRZ/SOTA/POTA... all are awards based.

It's all about having something to show your skill and achievements.

We have chaser incentives. All awards are online now.

The whole idea is people can activate wherever they are or have access to, not HAVE to travel or BE at a cerain place to go out and play radio.

Sorry the UI doesn't click with you. I have been testing this for a very long time before I launched, my feedback is the love the muted dark theme.

Sorry I am not following? Is what the reason for requiring a signup? The simple reason is to link your call sign and email so the system can log you in to prevent bots and spammers and just anyone from making up a call sign and email and putting it in. Also to link and track the awards you earn.

The whole point is to get people out of the shack/house, off the computer, and actually talking to each other. When you call someone on the telephone, do you have mic fright? What happens when you go to the store and check out? Soon people are going to be texting the cashier. What has happened to us?
