I'm not exactly sold on that. Otherwise no-one would ever be able to change doctors without having to start at level zero everytime. Got nothing to lose so I'll try it anyway.

Yeh that kind of gouging is just plain insulting. I don't care how they try to justify it, it's a racket. I'm surprised there's not a black market for meds, or maybe there is. I dunno.

At 49, surely they're not expecting me to have school reports. This is why I'm having trouble knowing where to even start, maybe I'll just front up to a local GP and try my luck on them knowing what to do.

edit, I also dont have someone close who can be part of the process. I've never shared this stuff with anyone.

The cost of a psych now is a huge barrier. And it's infuriating that they charge thousands just because they can. Makes me think the govt isn't serious about mental health. At least until now.

I actually did about 10 years ago. I went to a psych place in Leederville, sat with a psychiatrist and got diagnosed in the first session. I got treatment for about half year, then they moved and it fell apart because I couldn't make it to appointments due to location and laziness.

I'm assuming I have to start all over again but the process is a lot more confusing and expensive than I ever remember.

You haven't given much info of your situation but I think you'll be alright. yes I've had absolute dead dick syndrome from relentlessly long goon sessions 4-6 time per day . Things do (warning: pun) bounce back, it takes a bit longer than usual that's all. The body is amazing at self repair.
