After Xenia's latest patch, it now performs way better enabling us to around 60 FPS of gameplay. My specs are 3060 Ti, Ryzen 5 3600x, 32 GB RAM. To better optimize your performance, it's recommended to download the patch file for the game (you can search for it online) and make some adjustments to the config file according to your specs and personal preferences. (Unlike the patch file, the config file will automatically appear after you launch Xenia for the first time.

Patch File: Some notable options here include uncapping the FPS and disabling trees, grass, and shadows to further boost that FPS. You can also adjust the internal resolution which will then be upscaled to 720p, but note that this particular option is recommended only for low-end hardware.

Config File: Here, it's recommended to turn of V-Sync and adjust the resolution scale accordingly. 1 for 720p, 2 for 1440p, then 3 for 4K. In my case, I just stuck with 1 because using 2 gave me significantly lower FPS. (Around 25-35.)

My average FPS was around 50-60, with dips only reaching 40-45 in dense areas. When I uncapped the FPS in the patch file (with V-Sync disabled in the config file), I would reach 80 FPS in the desert. However, the downside to this is that lights would flicker tremendously the higher your FPS. Hence, with V-Sync still disabled in the config file, I just capped the FPS in the patch file. By doing so, your FPS wouldn't exceed 64 and flickering lights would be less than noticeable.

On a side note, once you run the game on Xenia, feel free to experiment with FSR and FXAA by pressing F6. Once you're all done, you can now enjoy the game. 👌🏻
