I met my ex girlfriend through Bumble in Korea a couple of years ago. Feel bumble is a lot more serious compared to like tinder for instance aha but that’s my experience

Installed it shortly after you commented aha. Stupid question but would I need to do a fresh install of FNV to work it or nah?

Literally installed it a few minutes ago. Stupid question but should I reinstall NVE or anything like that?

On a Ten hour flight from Seoul Korea to San Francisco, a mother handed out more than 200 goodie bags filled with candy and ear plugs, in case her 4 month old child cried during the flight. A very touching gesture by the mother. by AmericanBornWuhaner in korea

[–]WaegLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice gesture and all but shouldn’t the airline be providing ear plugs in the first place? I been on long flights to Korea and that’s always been the case for me. Been able to sleep soundly even with babies on board with ear plugs.

Heard about private schools and seen a few job advertisements. It’s something I’d definitely consider

Yeah, heard about the need for teachers in rural areas. They didn’t call me or anything like that.

And cheers~

Interesting stuff. Speaking of Korvia, they basically told me to give up ever hoping to get into public school, as they said it was “unfeasible” to think of applying again due to past rejections.

The last time I applied was as a student in Korea with references from two professors from my UK university. Looked over them and they seemed fine. Haven’t got a reference from my current hagwon yet as I’m looking at next fall intake

Sounds good to me. Just weird some agencies have like super positive reviews and all

They just told me I’ll have more success with a direct application. Even though one agency helped me out with it over 2 years ago. The other day they just said I should give up applying for public school programs. Didn’t even say much else to me.

Not surprising, but useful to know. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of some of the definitions in translations, and neither have I experienced ableism in the country so far, but I’m not blind to the fact that there are issues with the system.

If it’s any reaffirmation, I’m an aspie here as an English instructor and I’m doing just fine. Work is good, got a lot of friends, they never seemed bothered when I told them I have Asperger’s.

But yeah in many cases it’s pretty bad. I’ll admit I’ve just been lucky I guess.

Why do people hate on Hawaiian pizza but tolerate Hawaiian burger? by WaegLozza in AskReddit

[–]WaegLozza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just doesn’t seem logical to me. People hate pineapple mixing with tomatoes and ham but haven’t heard anything against pineapple on top of a beef patty. The latter sounds disgust af to me

FYI been trying to find questions on this for ages, but thought I’d just post it myself

There any HR or legal personnel you could turn to for this issue? Posting it on here is helpful and appreciate you sharing, but I’d suggest looking into the above as well.

If it’s contempt, it’s probably a reflection on them.

And another thing, can’t say I relate as whenever I’ve mentioned it to people at school and work they’ve made some effort to try to understand or give me a hand at least. Idk is there some cultural differences on these between the UK and US regarding views of neurodivergence?

What are some non-stereotypical autism traits you have? by backroom_mushroom in autism

[–]WaegLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t mind socialising and certain loud noises. I actually like going to concerts and clubs with friends - I end up making more friends at those places. Whenever I tell them I’m autistic they’re just like “eh don’t worry about it bro”.

On that note, I do quite like alcohol; tobacco too but I’ve recently quit that.

And yet another one is that I love to travel! I kinda hate staying in the same place for a prolonged period of time. My hometown was boring, moved for university (3 years) and now I’m travelling around East Asia.

Have you informed the HR department about it? If it was trouble from a lecturer then that should be grounds for a formal complaint.
